So I did this DVP Teg for a friend of mine on Saturday. The thing is, this was one of those, "good paint to great paint" things. He is a member over at Team-Integra <--edit* and has learned from Jngrbrdman, StyleTEG, and myself, so his car was already clayed, AIO and SG.
After examining his car, I noticed a plethora of surface scratches...some were very deep as well as some pretty deep swirls on the horizontal surfaces. He bought this car off a lease and it was a gem on the interior but the exterior was a wreck, he said. This car was also polished by the Acura dealer he works at back in the fall, but we know how trustworthy they can be
Anyways, what I did was:
-Mother's Gold Wash
-Clay Magic Clay
-Mother's Gold Wash
-WW MF Dry
-Spot buff all scratches with Meguiar's #83 DACP and LC Cutting Pad via Rotary @ 1500rpm
-Buff whole car and rims with Meguiar's #82 SFP and LC Cutting Pad via Rotary @ 1500rpm
-Buff whole car with P21S GEPC to remove buffer haze with LC Polishing Pad via Rotary @ 1500rpm
-Klasse AIO (by hand)
-Klasse SG (by hand)
-Old No.7 Chrome Polish on Exhaust
-Rain-X on windows
-Armor All on tires and wheel wells
-303 Aerospace on all rubber/plastic pieces, and front lip (painted with DupliColor bumper paint)
5 hours of work and it came out exceptional. I was very pleased how reflective the DVP paint came out.
Mirror anyone?
Enjoy!
