Finally the rain stopped today and got to work on my wheels.
I got impatient and sprayed my 2nd wheel of the pasenger side with the left over dupi laquer I had last week because it really bugged me only having one wheel look bad and the other painted.
I was hoping to get both wheels on the drivers side done today but for some reason either the spray nozzle itself was really
fatiguing my hand, to the point that I was concerned about doing the both of them in one day. Or maybe I hurt my hand some other way ,I dont remember. But I at least got one done today and love the WURTH clearcoat laquer spray paint!
It layed a much heavier thicker coat than the Dupi laquer I had and had a stronger different smell also ,much more like the "real thing".
After I prepped the wheel the sun had come around and actually it was perfect spraying in the sun because it helped dry faster and I was able to only wait about 10 minutes betweeen coats ,rather than the recommended 30.
Its been really difficult to spray in my area because there is always very windy and I have no garage .In order to compensate for the wind I had to hold the can and spray much closer then recommended because the wind was taking the product away before it even landed .I was spraying about only 5 inches away and having to move very quickly .
All in all I got 3 double coats down and hope I have enough left over for the other wheel.
But the beauty of laquer is its very forgiving in that its not as prone to get runs like enamal paint .
Hope to get the other one done on my next day off and have some pictures as well!
