Yes you answered my question. I know i said compound, but i meant to say was polish. I'am looking for my second step. Compound, then ?, then my lsp.
It all comes down to personal preference, but I prefer to have another step after a medium polish. IE: if you used Poorboy's SSRs, I would follow the 2.5 with the 1. Some people are content with the results that they achieve with the 2.5, so it's a call that you would have to make.
You have a couple of other options though.
The Menzerna Power Finish that I mentioned, will cut almost as well as SIP (medium polish), but will finish out like a finishing polish, there by saving a step.
Another option that you have is Megs 105. It is a compound that can be used as a medium polish if you alter the pad/pressure combo. Even used as a compound, a lot of people go straight to a finishing polish because the finish that it leaves is so good. I know that you already have enough compounds though, so this may not be a good option for you.
There is also Megs 205 that is a combo finishing/medium polish. If you use a pad with some cut, it will do some decent correction and leave a good finish. If you need to refine it, you can use it again with a polishing pad.
Economically, the M205 is probably your best option.
Hopefully this helped and didn't confuse you even more!
Let me know if you have any more questions.
