...Dreaming on an E92....
My dad's never been big on planting stuff... He likes lawn, but he never really goes out of his way to make things look, well, "great"... His yard has always had potential, and I've been wanting to spruce it up for a while, so I finally did some work yesterday.
Here's a few pics... And none of this was here before, with the exception of the bark/lawn...
I wish I would've gotten more plants, but I guess this is good for now. I definitely want to get a few more in at some point, but not so much that it looks too busy/crowded. It will look fine once everything grows in some though. The sweet broom should really come in by the end of summer, I put some small 1 gal. broom in at my house and in less than a year they're already 3 times the size of the 5 gal. plants I put in yesterday
assout:
today (If weather permits), a small, ornamental tree from the backyard will be trandplanted into the large bark area, so I'll already be moving what I planted yesterday LOL. I didn't want to go too crazy with lots of color either, I wanted something subtle that would go with the colors of the house... Which me and my brother painted last August. I know, we're good :dnaughty
Best part is, it was free (for us anyway)! My grandfather owns the house (he owns several homes around town), and my uncle is the property mgr. for him as he's over the days of dealing with tenants. So all I had to do was call my uncle and say "My dad's yard looks too bare, lets go to Home Depot"
I'll post pics later or whenever I get the tree and stuff moved around. I want to do some more cleaning up, and get s'more plantings in on the other side of the yard. The gardener came and mowed the lawn yesterday so I gave it a good feeding afterwards. It used to look much better when I lived at home and took care of it myself :notme:
Let me know what you guys think so far!
