Would the APC with the separation you have in your warehouse clearance sale work for this use?![]()
3:1 should be some pretty strong stuff. The ratio Steve recommended of 1/4 oz. to 32 oz. is closer to 128:1. Did she have any problem with using/removing the APC? I'm sure she was able to remove the smoke film at that strength level.Charles, my wife used some of the seperated APC today to clean windows with. Now it was mixed 3-1 for other purposes, but she used it. Heavy smoked in 96 Explorer.
At the 1/4 oz. per 32 oz. bottle, right?yes Charles it will work just fine![]()

FWIW, while that may sound like a very diluted mix, the Dawn/Water window cleaning solution I sometimes mix up only requires about 2 drops per 32 oz. bottle. I think cleaning windows is usually less of a problem than leaving them streak free. At least it always has been for me. :wall
I may try mixing up 32 oz. of the solution, but a gallon would last me for years.yes, i mix a gallon at a time with about 1-2 ounces max
I may try mixing up 32 oz. of the solution, but a gallon would last me for years.
The only hesitation I have about the 32 oz. mix is the chance for error since it is such a small quantity of APC.
Thanks for the link. Interesting site.Charles...I mixed a real small bottle of it, and used a site like this to come up with the dilution ratio
Online conversion of weights and measures, measurement conversion.

Nice idea, but she has no use for it. I do all the house windows.go and splurge Charles.. you can share it with your wife :lol2:

My concern is certainly not the cost, since I bought 32 oz. bottles for $3.95 each.
What I do want to do is mix it correctly so the product can do its job.
I was concerned that more APC might cause streaking.a little extra APC in the mixture won't hurt anything![]()
I was concerned that more APC might cause streaking.
A lot of products get my windows clean appearing, but in a day or so, I sometimes see some smeary areas.
Not with all products, but with the ones I no longer use.
I would like to give this mix a fair chance.
Have you ever thought of using a syringe? You should be able to get one from a pharmacy or a vet's office if you ask nicely..........My problem is accurate measurement of 1/4 of an oz..........
Interesting idea, but it sounds too much like using Zaino or Poly Charger.Have you ever thought of using a syringe? You should be able to get one from a pharmacy or a vet's office if you ask nicely.

it was never an exact mixture by any means ..so if you are close it will be fine![]()

Actually, I had a dispenser bottle that had a 1/2 oz. measurement and I used approximately 1/2 of 1/2 oz.
That's going to be close enough for me.![]()
Mixed and used. :bigups1/2 or 1 capful (from the cap on a gallon size bottle), in a 32 oz spray bottle.
I'm using most of 2 spray bottles a day at this dilution and it works like a champ.
I think you'll like it Charles.:bigups

Syringes are in CC's or ML's or "units" not ounces
I figured most folks here could figure out how to convert, especially since Beemerboy posted a link to a conversion program in post #7.Syringes are in CC's or ML's or "units" not ounces
