...Dreaming on an E92....
Moving out! :rockon
:dnaughty
Let the house parties begin :lol2:
I've been thinking about it for a while now and I've decided it's time, I'm confident I can make it on my own and I just want the freedom of having my own place. It's 3 BR, 2 BA, 2 car garage, total around 15-1600? SQ Ft. for $700/Mo :rockon
It's owned by my grandfather which iss why I'm getting it so cheap, but all the better for me!
It seems to be a tradition in my family anyway...My cousin rents a house from him, my brother, my sister and her husband used to, and both my uncle and my dad were given a house. I wish mine was free :hmmm:
It needs a bit of work, but it's going to be cherry when it's finished. I'm getting new carpet, laminate in the kitchen/dining/entry-way, new toilets/sinks, plumbing/lighting fixtures, interior/exterior paint (exterior paint is in good shape but it's grey with purple trim, and the trim makes the grey body look purple too...And the neighboring house is pink... I don't want to tell people "yeah I'm the purple house next to the pink house" :wow: ), stove, over-head fan, water-heater, adding a couple new heat registers for efficiency, base boards, pretty much doing a mini-remodel without replacing the major stuff like windows, roof (although it could use it...), cabinetry, etc. On top of that I've got tons of plans for it too, i.e add to/improve landscaping, more interior work, etc.
It's on well/septic which will save me a few bucks on utilities, but I'm going to have to add an in-line house filter mainly for washing vehicle but also for clearer water in general. Power won't be much since it will be just me living there and I'm good about turning off lights, I buy 90% of my food even though I'm still currently living at home so that won't really change much, and basic small utilities like phone/cable/net won't be much either. All in all I figure I'll spend $8-850/mo on rent/utilities, and I'm making more than enough to cover that and still put a little bit away, my work is steady enough now that I'm confident I'll do fine.
Since I'm picky as hell about keeping our house clean I've always thought it'd be hard to find good roommates, and I'll admit that a lot of my friends are SLOBS and it bugs the living %^#$^ out of me, so I know I wouldn't stand living with them. I'm not a messy person but I tend to let stuff clutter, but that'll change with my own place. I'm not into partying all the time too, I like having my space and independence so I'm REALLY looking forward to having my own house. It'll be a great place to live while I'm going through school and starting out in life, I can't wait!
