Forget Graphene...

...now TRC has nanodiamonds?

Unlike traditional SiO2 Ceramic Coatings, Diamond ProTech’s patented enrichment process transforms nanodiamonds so that they can be combined with inorganic polymers to create a composite that provides hardness plus flexibility through a foundational mesh of carbon bonds.

Treated surfaces are left with an exceptionally hard surface that boasts Chemical Resistance, Abrasion Resistance, Heat Resistance, and Self-Cleaning Behavior. The TRC Team has been testing Diamond ProTech products for over a year, and we can conclude that these are some of the best coatings we have ever used. The FULL Diamond ProTech Consumer line is NOW available

I don`t know about you, but I`m a sucker for a foundational mesh.

Sounds like more marketing. That polymer layer sounds like it’s the glue. I actually prefer products that say SiO2. At least they are being upfront. I haven’t read any articles that make a compelling reason for graphene to be on top of my paint.

Eh, IGL had “Diamond-Infused” Kenzo a while back, NV Nova called their graphene infusion “Diamond Powder”…everything old is new again!

As BP1 said it is in Nova Evo which has been out for awhile.

Which, at the end of the day, generally referred to some bit of carbon in the formulation.

Kamikaze refers to ‘carbon nanotubes’ in their ISM 3.0 product:
What are carbon nanotubes?

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are cylindrical molecules that consist of rolled-up sheets of single-layer carbon atoms (graphene).

They will do just fine. Partnering with TRC is smart to get them going. They do boast a contact angle of 142 which is rather impressive. I need to get some and see what my calibrated eye tells me.

Is it worth the $72.00 Retail price (or $61.20 wholesale price) for the prep spray and coating kit?
I am more curious what various Autopians with other coatings` experience could make a comparative and subjective evaluation on this Diamond Protech; IE, is it cost-effective in their opinion.

I agree with Guz: partnering with The Rag Company (TRC) and its detailing product distribution and reputation with its customer-base give it some amount of detailing product credibility.

Now I get to the "accreditation coming soon" part. Its advertising says it does not require "professional detailer" application.
So what is the value in having this "accreditation" if anyone can apply it? Or is this a marketing term.
I have NO problem of car-care product companies having exclusive products applied and available-only to and by "certified" (accredited?) installer/dealers to give that product`s expected performance and warranty viability and ensure that car-care company`s reputation. What IS problematic is a limited availability and territory, almost in a monopolistic marketing scheme or ploy to keep the price high, or in business speak, "within our projected profit margin to cover R&D expenses, marketing overhead, expected product life-cycle, and investor return-on-investment (ROI) expectations." Welcome to free-market economics. (Unless you sell much-needed medications; then the federal government steps in an "negotiates" the price!)

I’m ready but I watched ScottHD video on them to put the coating on it looks like a really PIA. I know there are a few different ones but it looked like a moist towel was used on the longer durability ones. Usually if water/moisture is need to wipe down or level. That’s what has me thinking might be pia on some of them..

Kami has hydrocarbon coatings
NV has diamond

and now Diamond protect has both. Hmmm.

So I finally get to post the post I wanted the day the site went down,

Now that you used the products what is your take on them?
Are any now favs over other products you were using?

Ontario CA we are at 13%... for now. Considering the government is bleeding the country dry, be interesting if they bump the tax up...

I believe the east coast Provinces and Quebec are at 15%
