I hope we all can be open minded but be skeptical too as history can repeat itself

C`mon man! Do you remember what Obama inherited? Remember the recession and US automakers problems? 8 years was not that long ago.

What about what trump inherited ?!?!?!?!?!??!?! You mean selling out investors to the unions?

But 30 days BS. Trump can`t take a bow for that. Maybe, but not really since there was a lot of investment etc since election.

At least we can agree on the 30 day BS. I`m in agreement with Trump on illegal immigration, but from what I hear on tonight`s news he may be backing away from his promises on that too. Some may think I`m pro Obama, but I`m pretty much an Independent voter who takes a look at what is best for me and the country. I do believe in one person-one vote and getting rid of the Electoral College. We force Democracy on other cultures, but we don`t force the Electoral College idea on them. Maybe it was a good idea in 1776 (I`m not too sure), but it is a crappy way to elect a US president in 2017. What ever happened to whoever has the most votes wins? Isn`t that democracy?

We are not a democracy, we are a constitutional representative republic.

You are correct, but we push the idea of democracy or being a democratic society. I would like to hear Trumps answer to whether we are a democracy or not.

A 100% democracy is not much more than mob rule but they vote first then the mob attacks. I really like our constitution, I just wish they took that no taxation with out representation more literally. I pay property taxes in another town where I own commercial properties and yet I get no vote on who runs that town, there are a large portion of people who pay zero taxes but they get to vote. I think if you have no skin in the game then you get no vote or go with everyone gets 1 vote then for every 10K you pay in taxes that you can prove in either property or payroll taxes you get and additional vote. So you want to collect millions of dollars from the top 1 percent then they get more say. I know it doesnt have a snow balls chance in heck to ever happen but I think if you add the extra burden to those people then they should get the extra say in where we go (inside or constitutional constants).

The Constitution was supposed to be a "living" document and to change with the times. With the way the US is split I don`t see a way any new amendments would ever get passed. Most people look at it like the 10 Commandments, set in stone.

This election proved the relevance of the electoral college. Without it, New York and California, along with a few major metro areas would hold the entire rest of the country hostage. It`s startling to see the electoral college map from this election- huge portions of the land mass- and the people in them- spoke clearly against BS liberal ideals.

I never did catch the relevance of the people wearing all white on the Democrat side of the isle. Anyone know what that was about?
