The trouble with a living constitution is, you really have no constitution at all. Would you play poker with living rules? Me and Andy and Barney all think you are winning too many hands so we just voted that my pair beats your full house. The constitution is hard to change for a reason. Of course this would be less of an issue if government didn`t try to insinuate itself into every aspect of our lives. Let free people live their lives as they see fit, and the constitution is basically irrelevant to their day to day lives as it restricts the power of government.

Regarding the electoral college I am originally from central Illinois (or what Chicagoans dismissively refer to as downstate). If you want to see what this country would look like if a few heavily populated metropolitan areas
were to elect our president then just look at Illinois. There are 102 counties in Illinois yet Hillary won the state by winning just 11, which somehow makes it a deep blue state.
 
I wonder if there is Federal aid...

Trump needs to keep on reading his speeches. Sounded optimistic. Promised us pie-in-the-sky. Even got a piece for me (helping Veterans). I just want to know what his plan is to pay for everything he promised. Tax cuts for businesses and middle class cuts, then 10% more defense spending and healthcare for all (of course bigger and better). I guess I`m just jaded in my old age. Every president has promised to fix the VA, but it just gets worse. If everyone is free to choose their healthcare why do Vets have to "choose" the VA? I thought it was in bad taste to bring the widow of a dead soldier in for a PR spot. Again just my opinion, I wouldn`t want my wife in that spot. Cruel.

This was Trump`s best speech so far. I`m really pulling for him. He just sounds naive about politics. I hear Oprah is thinking about running for Pres. If we survive Trumps`reality show Oprah would surely kill us.

I still wonder if it might not be more efficient to kill off the medical side of the VA and just give Vets the option of going to "normal" hospitals/doctors/etc.
 
Really they are mostly Lawyers and all professional politicians, when you see there mouth moving its 50/50 chance that they are lying whether it be under oath or not. They lie so much I am not sure they even know they are lying, they do it so much I think they start believing its true.
