Water dilution ratio for Meguiars Gold Class shampoo?

It's on the label. See the second sentence under Directions.

Thanks Guz

still can't believe you have not ever showed up at Meguiars TNOG when I am there

I'll spare everybody my usual comments on GC, but I do want to point out that IMO the recommended dilution is merely a starting point. Lots of variables can affect what'll work best for *you*.

The variables can be:
1) Hard water (IE, mineral content) of your water source. Harder water needs more soap to "suds" properly.
2) Dirtiness of the vehicle you are cleaning. A little more soap for lubricity may be required.
3) A larger vehicle (like a van or extended cab truck) will require more water and, hence, more soap. (OK Capitan Obvious!)
4) Some Autopians "mix" soaps or All-Purpose Cleaners together for vehicle washing, depending on the contaminants to be removed, like bugs or tar , which may require less Gold Class soap. (Please DO NOT tell anyone I have used Dawn Dish Soap with Gold Class in an emergency when I ran out of sufficient Gold Class, and yes, they work well, despite what some may think)

Some excellent points. I would just add that a little extra car wash soap won't hurt anything but the pocketbook in the long haul.

It's interesting that you mention Dawn. I like dawn when I'm planning to wash, clay/polish, and put on a new LSP....even though it's not strong enough to remove a durable sealant. I like it because unlike many/most car wash soaps, it doesn't contain waxes/surfactants/lubricants/agents that can remain on the surface, potentially negatively impacting the subsequent LSP bonding.
For a long time it was held that Dawn would strip a wax/LSP. Although an excellent degreaser, I believe this is a myth. Admittedly some soaps are harder on LSP's...like many automatic car wash soaps.
On the other hand, Dawn is pretty gentle. (Again perhaps overstating the obvious.)
