Throw Down: Iron Remover Comparisons

Objective??? Unbiased??? Are you Serious???

Please explain?

I wrote this review in 2/4/14... One year ago... I worked for Autopia at the time (which sells CarPro), and it was my job to write reviews which always were to the best of my ability.. unbiased... Autopia was a direct competitor to Corey and CarPro USA. Are you suggesting that, when I wrote this review, for a company that was a competitor to CarPro USA, as a favor to CarPro USA?

You took this picture of Corey (Car Pro) and I out to eat about 1 month ago, it was an official business lunch between I (RUPES USA) and Corey (CarPro USA).

Since working for RUPES, I have not posted a review for any product and haven't had much time to post on the internet at all.

Just to be clear....

This post was from 1 year ago, and was an unbiased review based on the products that Autopia sells. I had no affiliation with Car Pro.

NOW I work for RUPES, and it is part of my job to meet with potential customers. The picture you took was the CarPro USA Rep meeting with the RUPES USA rep, discussing business that has nothing to do with the internet.

Richie, Autopia/Autogeek carried all of those products. I grabbed them right off the shelf. In fact, the test vehicle was Bob's (Max's) old SUV and it was done at Palm Beach Motoring Group HQ. When I worked for Autopia, I only reviewed products we sold, because, it was the only way I could be unbiased (and keep my job). I believe Autopia/AG may have disco'd some of those brands now, but I don't follow that stuff too much.

Richie, are you spying on Todd? Or Corey? It looks like you took the picture surreptitiously since the camera/phone is down on the table, great shot of the chair, subjects are out of focus, etc. Or do you have a secret crush on one of them?

Well I find it funny that the only two products that AG carried at the time this was posted are the ones that came out on top.

Todd is a reputable guy and I've always found his reviews (including this one) to be spot on and have more insight than pretty much anyone else's. I'm not sure why your going after him... Seems like there is some hidden Internet agenda??

Lolz.

That is a creepy picture. Maybe you missed your calling as a paparazzi?

Having said that EVERY REVIEW posted here by an employee of PBMG is biased. What do you expect?

When I clicked on this thread, I knew what the results would be taking into account what products were displayed BEFORE I read the rest of the thread.

Yeah something like that.........................well maybe not. There is Hertz.....................and not exactly. If you pick up the sarcasm in this declaration then you are ahead of the game.

I guess I'm too dumb to pick up your sarcasm. I just figured you knew which product would win because you are an experienced detailer who has tried all the products and knew for himself which was the best without having to read the test.

Oh wait, you're the guy who never mentions products in his threads because you're afraid your competition will steal your business by using the same products you use, so maybe you haven't used all the products, what do I know.

I am with the majority on this one. Todd has been a 100% stand up guy and has always handled himself as a gentleman worthy of my highest respect. I have had many off line conversations with him, and what I have found is that he is the same person online and in person. How many people can you say that about? I would never expect him (or any other employee) to do a public side by side test with a product their company did not sell.

I did learn something very interesting. I always thought Car Pro USA, was the US distributor for Car Pro Products? Now from this post and Todd's explanation that Autopia and Carp Pro USA are competitors? Meaning Cory does not supply PBMG with all their Car Pro products. I thought Cory was set up by Avi to be the face of Car Pro in the USA to drive sales? Avi seems like a nice guy but I felt that perhaps he gave the distribution to Corey to help with the "communication" in places like this? I remember when RONKH was having issues with reload and we all were listening to the where's Corey now stuff, we need help. He used to be more helpful. And I was like Corey is a good guy....(wonder why he is not here) NOW I GET IT A LITTLE BIT. AUTOGEEK AND AUTOPIA ARE NOT HIS ACCOUNTS AND HE IS A COMPETITOR TO THEM! That's why he does not post much here or come around.

It's kind of like the calls we get at my company. Customer buys a carpet extractor (not from me) and I get a call. I just got a machine and it does not work. I called the manufacturer and your the warranty station. Can you pleases just explain how to use it and we ask for their invoice number or look upon the serial number. If we did not sell the machine, we feel a different obligation. If there is potential for more business we might help, if there is not it a total waste of our time and we tell them that since we did not sell the machine, they can buy an hour of labor and bring the machine in and we will be happy to train you. We let them know this is something we do for FREE if you purchased the unit form us. If it is a legit issue we fix and get paid by the manufacturer. If it is a bogus self inflicted damage or nothing but user error, there is a charge and its clearly in the drop off paperwork they sign.

I can now understand why Corey would not want to continually be customer service for items he did not sell. I also now understand why he is not over here posting reviews as he has in the past.

You learn something new every day over here.

Now that 3D's BDX Iron Remover is out and will soon be sold by Autopia, any chance of Todd doing part II of this comparison? :yay
