Zymol waxes

There's a lot of threads pertaining to Zymol waxes. I like the Titanium, but I could never see myself buying Royale or any other Zymol wax over $200. With that said, most people prefer some more expensive sealants over waxes since they last longer and when layered, can provide almost, if not just as much, depth to the paint.



Opinions vary, though...
 
Hmmm...wonder how *this* Zymol thread will, uhm...develop :think:



Guys like Calgarydetail, SuperBee364, and, of course ;) lbls1 (and some others I'm not thinking of, sorry) swear by the stuff. Some other people seem to enjoy being critical of it and the people who use it.
 
Like my friend Accumulator hinted, I could go on all day about the Authentic Zymol waxes. My personal recommendation would be that you should start with a reasonably (?....they are all relatively pricey) priced zymol, and if time allows, pick up two or as many other competing waxes as you would like, and do some comparisons. Only through a good comparison (preferrably live, but very good photos can be helpful) would you be able to see how good or not so good a typical zymol wax would compete against other lsps.



If you are thinking of the higher echelon (spelling bee needed) of zymol waxes, namely the estate glaze line, then it would pay in dividends for you to compare the entry level zymols to other waxes and among other zymol models, so that you could see the basic characteristics IMO that all zymol waxes share.

i dont know....i tried concours and pinnacle souveran side by side...



results:

ps - more glow and deep/wet looking

ZC - more crisp and clear



depends on the look you are after I guess

I personal love zymol, both the waxes and the other products they offer. I like them so much I have become a Canadian authorized resller and detailer(i figure ill go with full discolsure, however having said that with the terms i have i cannot and donot sell them online.. and honestly have no desre so im really not trying to sll anything as i have nothing to gain)...



Zymol waxes are not the easiest waxes to work with but man do they ever lok good.. What i love about zymol is the crispness and clarity of the waxes.. its something that needs to be seen to understand.



if you are interested in trying zymol but dont want to spend 500+ i would recomend starting with something like titanium or glasur. Both have great clarity and deapth, and last a decent amount of time. Concours takes it to a whole new level but it is a big bill to start with...



a word to the wise, i would suggest following the directions to the T. I have tried other methos such as concours or vintage with an applicator. The results are not the same, i notied a sever decine in longevity and wear (a few weeks less durabilty)...ohh and hd-cleanse sucks to work with but its worth the hassel...esp the hd-cleasne pro, they dont make it anymore but if you can find some its well woth the money and hassel





anywho, after my ramblings, bascily Zymol makes some great products, some dont think its worth the money, other have no desire to even try (due to the cost) however i personaly have fallen in love with them, how they look and how much fun i have working with them. I would def. suggest giving them a shot

Whats involved in a becoming Canadian authorized resller and detailer?



Isn't it big bucks to become an authorized detailer and wouldn't you have to detail a lot of cars just to cover the annual entry fee?

zymol usa wanted something like 10-12g to become a resller, we decided this was not the route to go. So we contacted zymol Canada and they have a diffrent set up... but we did not spend 10k to become a resller...there are some commitments but thats not one.

That's what they quoted me last summer when I was looking into becoming a Zymol authorized detailer and reseller. Glad to hear it's more reasonable in Canada.

Yeah we talked to zymol usa and we decided it just wasnt worth it, we could not justify it. I contacted zymol canada and they were much better to deal with, very friendly and straight forwards, told us minum yearly order amounts, how much we saved. There were no hidden fees ot set up crap.

We do pay alittle more and have a minimum yearly order but its less then 10k, so to us it was more then worth it.

sweet, i really want to get some royal but the money just isnt there right now. I have a good friend who is gettin royal so i will get the chance to try it.



Have you tried vintage? how do royal and vintage compare?
