This is one of those mass-market "Zymol" products that I picked up at Auto Zone. I couldn't find it on the Zymol website, so I'm wondering if it's really even Zymol. I have a coat of S100 (over last year's Zaino) on my truck and wanted to experiment with a QD that contains carnauba.

I QD'd my truck with it a week ago, and it left a film all over the paint that wouldn't buff off. I washed my truck tonight, and even that didn't take the film off! That's when the Zymol Detail Wax Enhancer and Finsh went into the trash. I put a quick coat of Platinum cleaner/protectant on my hood, and that finally took the Zymol film off.

Kind of weird about the wait time in the directions:

1. Spray a moderate mist of Detail Spray over a three to four square foot area. Let stand for approximately 30 seconds.

2. Applying minimal pressure, wipe with a clean zymöl or other terrycloth towel, using straight strokes that follow the body lines of the car.

3. For spot-cleaning a vehicle, spray Detail Spray directly onto a folded zymöl Micro-Wipe™, let stand for 30 - 45 seconds then very gently wipe over the soil, smudges or fingerprints until the surface is clean.

Contains Carnauba Sap 10.5%, Triple Purified Spring Water, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil), Propolis (derived from Bees) Glycerol Stearate and Banana Oil.

Whew, I'm glad I didn't buy any of this stuff tonight. I had a $15 gift card to Wal-Mart and I was going to buy 2 bottles of it, but instead got 1/2 gallon of Westley's Bleche White, 2 cans of Stoner Invisible Glass, and a bottle of E1 A2Z Wheel Cleaner...

Thanks for the heads-up though.

I also tried the Zymol QD. Initially it does product a nice gloss but as DaveN stated it produced a haze after being exposed to heat. Fortunately my haze removal was handle with no problem with Poorboy's S&W/ Clearkote Quick Shine mixture.

Nevertheless, like many products, I will re-try under different conditions and see if I can find some value in this purchase. :nixweiss

LOL, thats how I feel about all those people who wear blinkers and believe Zymol and Zaino are the best thing next to sliced bread :up

I believe there is value and excellent results derived from the "parent" company Zymol ( never used their hi-end products), but when they allowed Turtle Wax to use their name on normal consumer priced products they lessen the value of their whole product line and name. For those who use the original Zymol products this is a good and bad thing. Good thing Zymol have more capital to work on the original "concourse" line and two the average weekend detailer will never know or would pay for what they are missing. I remember the days when I brought my first consumer elite named products... I thought I was so  and could not wait to brag about it. Now I am a little embrassed to state to the uninformed what I pay for some of the products I now use. Well, until they see the cars and ask.;) Their uneducated response, "that's why!" :shocked . Little do they know that 90+% is the techniques used ( many learned and refined right here at Autopia) rather than the product. No I can not make consumer brand X ( though if versed can find some very good product lines ( i.e Mother's) look like P21S, Souveran, EX, Quick Shine but at the same time Joe/Alice weekend detailer can not work wonders with elite products without the necessary knowledge. I am humbled by the leaps-and-bounds my detailing skills have improved since meeting everyone here at Autopia. And there is so much more to learn! :xyxthumbs

I hated the zymol too. I didnt even try it on my exterior, i tried it on my door jambs and it made a complete mess of them. Streaky Hazy Mess!
