Zymol at Big Lots

I don't really use a QD as a cleaning agent for the most part, but as others have said to enhance the appearance and feel of the paint. And I find the anti-static properties (I use 425) also helps a lot in keeping the dust away from the paint (and especially the glass) in the first place.

All I know is that after I wash the car, it doesn't feel quite as slick, nor look quite as shiny as it did until I use the QD, which is why I use it each and every time as a true LSP.

I bought a bottle of that from Big Lots and it works okay. The stuff smells horribly though. It smells like a wet dog. My wife even commented on how nasty the garage smelled after using it. Big Lots also has Turtle Wax Platinum Ultra Gloss QD for 2.99 but only every so often. The TW is without a doubt the nicest OTC QD I've used and makes the car shine like it was just waxed (or better if it was just waxed). It also doesn't streak and has great lubricity. I bought all 5 bottles they had and am waiting for them to get more.

I went to Big Lots (first time :)) and I was amazed by how cheap everything was. I know I'll be going there a lot more :)

Anyway, I didn't see the Zymol QD, but I saw the Long Haul line of products and some Meguiars products. I'm probably going to buy the Long Haul QD next time.

The Zymol QD is on the Zymol website....other than forum rumors why would it be stated that it is made by Turtle Wax?

I'm not looking to start a fight or anything but that's what I was told from someone who sells Zymol too. I find it hard to believe that if they did make it they'd allow stores like BL to sell it off since they are so careful about their name and reputation being damaged. Incidentally I see they sell the QD for $12 on their website, woo that's rich! lol I like it but not that much. For the money go for the TW Platinum or LH TG as both are excellent.

I saw some of the TW Platinum QD there to, it cost more and I was curious as to why. However I didn't see any Long Haul products, I'll check up there periodically for them and give them a whirl.

I just got back from Big Lots. They didn't have much. Their inventory got much smaller since the time I bought the Zymol a couple of weeks ago. I did get some Meguiar's brushes - love the big, yellow wheel brush - and some Long Haul degreaser and QD.

It seems like Big Lot's don't have similar inventory. Wonder why.. Even if most of the stuff is clearance, the trucks should deliver the same amount and type of products. At my Big Lots, there are loads of Long Haul products, no Zymol, 15-20 wash mitts, 2 meguiars huge scrubber things, and 4-5 brushes. Maybe I should clear their Long Haul inventory before it's gone for good :nana: Just kidding, I wouldn't be able to finish using all that stuff in my lifetime :)
