ZR1, Z06, and an AUDI A5

EBPcivicsi

GOT PREP?
This Audi A5 must be a very difficult vehicle to purchase—the owner had have this one transferred in from Ohio. I also have another customer who waited about 6 months to receive his!

The car had been washed quite a bit by the dealer before we saw it—the paint was murder to correct. We ended up using 105 with a heavy cutting pad on the rotary, then 105 with a polishing pad via the flex, PO106FF with the G110 speed 6/white LC LP white, and finally sealed with M21.

We also applied paint protection film to the front bumper, fenders, hood, roof, A-piilars, mirrors, door cups, rockers, splash guards, and rear bumper.

These scratches were all over the car:

Sorry, that’s really the only before I have—it’s hard to document everything hen we have a lot going on!

Tried to get the line, but it disappears on this color!

Back in her hole until she is picked up!

This ZR1 was driven from the museum straight to our shopit needed some help.

We used a lot of #105 with the FLEX on a polishing pad as the paint was *very* soft. We finished with PO85RD on the flex with a white LC pad, then sealed with M21.

We carefully dried the paint:

I can see why the owner wanted the Audi, it's so awesome! The ZR1 and the Z06 came out perfect!........

Awesome job on all three! :bow

Those wheels on the A5 though....did the person who designed them take into consideration they were going on a car that sheds brake dust like long haired cats shed fur? :hairpull

Thanks everyone!

lostdaytomoroow--it was M21.

Scott--they are MURDER! I can't imagine "regular" owners being able to maintain them!

[Insert usual :bow regarding ebpcivicsi's work here..]

Glad to hear Audi is still using hard clear, sorta surprised that the 'vette was so soft.

Heh heh, apparently the Dynabrade isn't exactly foolproof after all.

im assuming that the paint job was very new just delivered fresh paint a little soft

oh man, those are beautiful cars. There's an S5 around my area. IT's always a head turner. You might be able to cut down on the noise if you go with a lower ISO w/ a longer shutter time. Great job on the car.

Thanks man, I am lucky if I get to take a picture, so playing with the settings is almost impossible. I just put evrything in auto and try to stay still. :D
