ZAIO after 106ff

I will be using Zaino after prep with 106ff (first time using it). Is it ok to use ZAIO after 106ff? The reason I ask is that I keep reading that 106ff has the finest abrasives of any polish, so I'm wondering whether ZAIO will degrade the finish after 106ff.

I have used ZAIO after 106ff on more then a few details. It will not degrade the finish. I really like what ZAIO does to reds and dark colors.

You could use the 106FF via orbital/rotary and then apply the Z-AIO by hand. I'm doing this with some products with nice results.

i recently did the same thing on MDX and used zaio after 85rd just to give a good base for my lsp and zaio imo gives a nice nuba look which helps with the depth and softness of z2/z5

I just finished up an X5 4.6is and I used 106 as a finish polish via rotary to bring the gloss up to a maximum finish. I then washed all the resiue off and used ZAIO via pc to add as a base and the gloss and wetness is superb now. Works perfect over 106, but I normally do a wash just to make sure the 106 oils are all off, so there is proper bonding.

I will try to post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback, will do ZAIO after 106. I usually use 50/50 isopropyl/water spray to clean off the reside after polishing (before ZAIO) -- is washing better?

You could wash with a strong shampoo like CG Citrus and I'm pretty sure that you will remove the polishing oils.

hmmm....I've always used KAIO by hand after polishing specifically to remove any polishing oils and prep the paint for the LSP. I'm sure hoping ZAIO will serve the same purpose since I plan to switch to it the next time I place a Zaino order.
