ZAINO'd Acura TSX

I was contacted via email from the owner of this fine auto. I traveled up an hour and a half to perfect the paint of it and then seal it. The owner wanted only the finest so naturally I turned to the Z. The process was as follows:

Z7 Wash

Z18 Clay

Optimum Polish / meguiars 6" megs yellow polishing pad / 1200 rpm

Blackfire Finishing Polish / 6" megs tan finishing pad / pc speed 6

Z6 wipedown

Z5pro (zfx'd, z8'd) paint, wheels, glass

Z6 wipedown

Z5pro (zfx'd, z8'd) paint, wheels, glass

Z6 wipedown

Final Z8 wipedown

Z16 on tires

A freind of mine had a chance to detail this same model and color..buy the way i drop by on him and at first the paint look black well in the garage it did but once we washed it and pulled it out you can see the flakes and and a blue hue to it...i like it...it has some slight swirls in it and the customer wanted it perfect, I left before he started detailing it but later told me it was a soft to scratch but hard to correct did you encounter that.....how long total hrs spent ....

It was very soft paint so I finished with the pc. THe combo of blackfire and a polishing pad @ 1200 that usually leaves a flawless finish left holograms and haze. Finishing with the pc was the only answer IMHO. I spent 5-6 hours on it but also did the interior. It was a long time but it was worth it.

That looks awsome! how much finer of a polish is the blackfire compared with the optimum polish?

The blackfire final src polish or 106ff (they 99.9% the same) are very similiar in how they finish which is perfect (no haze, buffer swirls). I prefer the blackfire/106ff on darker colors as they seem a touch deeper, and the optimum I prefer more of the lighter colors as it seems a little brighter/shinier.

Wow I dig it.

Umm, on the background with the gated fence. Is that a golf course?

Yes, the view was spectacular. There was a small stream, then the golf course, and then finally off in the distance was the large high rises of downtain St. Paul.
