How would you guys compare the 2 products as far as cutting ability and final finish when using a Porter Cable 7424? Thanks!

I think ZPC has more cut but does not finish as nice as 205. Also ZPC does not have a very long work time when used on a machine.

Will be used with PC 7424.... I couldn't get any cut with the ZPC and 7424 using orange pad.....?

You're going to have trouble in general with RIDS and swirls in that hard Corvette clear. I would say you will be hard-pressed to get them out with a 7424 no matter what you use, but with the advent of M105 that's probably not true anymore.

You can try using 4" pads, that will help.

EDIT: Sorry, I thought you were having problems with the new car, but I see from your other thread you are new with the PC. Are you confident in your technique with the PC (arm speed, pressure, etc.)? You won't be able to do any correction if your technique isn't there.

While I am new, I am still confident. The scratches are so fine that I really doubt much is needed to get them out, just the ZPC fusion I have now isn't touching them. I have heard good things about the #105 and #205 (however #105 scares me a bit, think it might be a bit too much....) And also about the Menzerna products. Thanks!

If you get 105 and you are a little indimidated by it, at first use it with a polishing pad (such as Lake Country Green or White, Meguiars Yellow, or Edge Blue or Green). 105 on a polishing pad has decent cut but not so much that you should be worried. If 105 on the polishing pad doesn't get rid of the swirls, then you will need to consider going to a cutting pad (such as Lake Country Orange, Meguiars Burgundy, or Edge Green or Yellow).

Haven't tried M205 yet, but I was able to remove 99% of the swirls on a Lexus using ZPC and a UDM with 4" orange pads. speed 6. I would like to try 205.

I think the best thing about ZPC is it's cleaning ability. I've used it to remove stuff nothing else would touch. And it has a long working time with CCS pads.
