Zaino Z5 vs Blackfire

Today I had some time to mess around and pull some old products out of the "detailing cabinet". We all have them don't we?? The stuff that gets pushed to the back as new stuff "rolls on in" :D:D

Anyway, I had some old Zaino Z5 and decided to give it a side by side test with Blackfire Wet Diamond. I did half of my red Dodge Ram with Zaino and the other half with Blackfire. I always liked the look of Zaino but with the evolution of new sealants I find that it can be finky to use at times compared to what is out today.

Here are some of my thoughts.

1-Ease of Application: Blackfire hands down. I applied with a gold LC hand applicator. Zaino was applied with a MF app.
2-Ease of Removal: Blackfire. I started getting some streaking with Zaino and that may have been that I applied it to thick in some areas. I had to go over those areas with some Z8
3-Looks-Zaino has more of a glossy look. Blackfire definitely has more depth.

I will try and see how the two stand up durability wise. However, I find myself applying some new LSP just about every week now so that may be difficult :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
 
Great review Pat, these products been around for many years and with the new update of BFWD in the past yr, I myself would see what you find out for us.:bigups
 

Zaino is one of those lines that I have never tried. Some love it and some hate "on it". But I simply choose other options like BF and Klasse when I was starting out early.


CAn't wait to see how this works out Pat. I have heard that Zaino can last forever in some cases.
