Zaino Z16 Tire Gloss AMAZING

so whats the proper way to apply this? i tried it a few times by pouring the stuff into the foam and i seem to pour out much more than i intend to. i also rig up an applicator by cutting up a $0.99 carwash foam from walmart...i guess i should invest in those tire applicators made for the purpose.

do you pour the Z16 directly onto the tire applicators? it seems so watery that it just spills over. or can you stick a spray head on the bottle and spray it out instead?

I place a spray head on the bottle and spray right "into" the sponge that I use to apply. Very, very small spray amount will dress a 35-40series x 18 tire.

After application (full light coating), work the Z16 into the rubber. For a glossier appearance apply another coat. Done.

i wonder why zaino didn't include a spray head to begin with...

I think people would be prone to spray it onto the tire causing over spray. And also alittle goes along way with this stuff so a spray would be more wasteful.

I use it on pretty much every car I do now, here's how it goes:

-Rinse tires

-Soak with TOL's Tire Cleaner cut 50/50 for 2 minutes

-Agitate well with tire brush

-Rinse clean

-Once dried (air or wiped), apply a bead of dressing directly to the EO Tire Swipe

-Go quickly around the tire and be a little generous (I usually have white dressing spots in areas)...This will allow it to soak in

-After 10 minutes, apply a very small amount on the applicator and go over the tire again

Wait 15 minutes or so and you are done.

When people say "working it in" what are doing, go around the tire to apply the dressing then use the same sponge for example to rub the tire and work in the product?

Yep.

Since there are no silicone oils in Z16, as it's a water-based product, it takes a pass or two more to get the dressing to soak in.

As I mentioned above, I usually go over it quickly the first round, leaving some excess beading of Z16 on the tires...Call it "applying it thick" if you want...When you go around after 10 minutes, the look is amazing.

Ive been experimenting with other dressubgs lately. I like a little more gloss than the Z-16. But once again I have come back to the Z-16. 2 coats gets me pretty close to the gloss I like. Sometimes after QDing a couple days later etc. I'll put another cat of Z-16 on to freshen it up a bit, goes on soooo smooth and looks super nice. It really is a "slick' product!!

I apply it a bit different.

After the wash I dry the car, and by this time the tires are about 50% dry.

I apply Z16 on an applicator and apply it to the tire. The water on the tire helps spread out the dressing easier and I use less. When I am done it almost looks like I used too much.

I do this for all 4 tires. I wait 5 minutes, and then I wipe the tires dry with a clean towel. Result is a perfect Matte finish tire.

Can you apply Z16 to the black rubber/plastic window sills and rain gutters? There's some polish on mine and it's annoying because it's white :( Yah I know, next time I'm gonna tape them off :D

Looks good, and looks like an Tahoe or Chevy pick up. I have a Mountaineer. I may have to try that out, maybe use it and seal with a light coating of a sealent?? I use Poorboy's Trim Restorer for some reason I don't get good results from it, others have it last weeks or months and I can only get a couple days on a clean surface.

I had plastic trim that was fading out as well and decided to test out my PB Bold N Bright on it. Worked like a charm, even after a few washes!
