Zaino, wanting to try it out!

I would skip the CS until it is significantly improved and go with Z8. I was left with a less than favorable impression of the stuff, or else my version needed a *lot* of tweaks, or complete overhaul. lol

That's good because CS could be really great with a few tweaks. Application is there, if its looks, slickness and beading can be upped a bit, I'd certainly buy it again.

Rob, you will be very pleased when it is time to get some more CS.:grinno: I didn't have a problem with the initial CS but I did note less slickness than the Z2/Z5, Z6 and Z8 slickness that has been spoiling us for years. The initial CS seems to become slicker, from my experience, after complete curing and the first wash. :nixweiss

The tweaked version starts off slick and remains so.:bow

Mike,

With all due respect, isn't it a bit unfair to complain about the product since you did not talk to Sal who reached out you?

So, I'm not allowed to voice complaint about any product, and especially Zaino, without corresponding with the owner first? Apparently, I don't think I'm the only one with CS issues around here, and I doubt they all talked with Sal before expressing their dissatisfaction.

How many products are tried on these forums and complaints expressed without ever talking with the owner? Tons. I think people are allowed to try things and they either work, or they don't, and are completely in the right to express complaint or satisfaction. What about Ultima? I see a crap load of complaining on that line (not that I've used it), but I wonder if you ask all of them if they spoke to David to have the issues addressed/corrected?

So, my complaints aren't fair or valid since I didn't talk to Sal? How about letting the product stand on its own, and let it be judged on its own as well. For the record, I'm not going to censor my opinions just becasue I try products and they may either work or they don't.

What happened to the truce? Someone can't not like CS without getting dragged to the principal? What do you care if Mike thinks CS is a combination of dioxin, trans fat and Freon? It won't stop Sal from selling it or you from using/liking it. You once tried to keep anyone from commenting on a product if they didn't try it. Mike tried it and doesn't like it, is the new rule that if you don't like something you have to talk to the owner of the company before saying you don't like it? Why don't we just rename this the Sal Zaino forum? I'm sure DB will love that.

Well I think since Sal reached out to you, it would have been best to make sure you did not have a bad bottle of product or you were not applying it correctly.

You reported very little durability but in my experience CS lasts for months-it's at 4+ month on my wife's car. It really seems like something is wrong with your experience.

Hmmm...bad bottles all around, I guess, since I don't get the same durability I get from the other Zaino products out of CS. Is there some sort of QC problem with CS?

Settle down Mike. I'm all for honest reporting but Mike's experience is like a 6 Sigma event based on my friend's and my own personal experience. Not getting any durability with this product is unusual. So much so that Sal reached out to Mike to talk things over.

Are you Sal's PR guy?

I really don't want to rehash all of this again, since there is a whole thread dedicated to it, but I am truly happy that your CS is holding up for you longer term SL. I honest to God wish mine did!! But, mine didn't and several others have reported similar findings according to their own experiences, so I don't think mine is as isolated a case as you make it to be. There are some that have reported good/great CS experiences (I wonder about the kool-aid drinkers tho), and some not so great. That's fine with me. Does everybody's Zaino experience have to be just wonderful and great, like doing some kind of great drug in the 60's? I mean, I am not bashing CS, or bashing the Zaino lineup, I am simply giving *my* experience, just like everyone else does. I've probably used more Zaino bottles in my lifetime than most on these forums, and I know that most all of the products are absolutely top notch. But, now, I don't prefer CS, and something is wrong with me or my process? Maybe so, but I guess that means a few others have something wrong with them too.

Also, I believe I did give CS a fair shake. I used it since May before determining it isn't for me and making a single post about it. Just because my "fair shake" doesn't agree with yours doesn't make mine wrong, and you the absolute right fact. I'll tell you what I believe isn't a fair shake. When the new guys come in and ask about Zaino products, instead of giving real world feedback and genuinely positive experiences (or bad), nearly all they receive is propaganda, the same one liners I've seen for 10 years. And, it's usually from the same peeps over and over and over again. That's NOT a fair shake for the newbs. For instance..."Sal is constantly updating his products." Man, how many times have I read that!?! It's like robots pumping out the ads. Well, my CS obviously wasn't too "updated" from *my* perspective!

Here's a thought, if there is ANY updated version of CS out there, that automatically suggests that the prior or original version lacked some things, right? So as to even need update(s) so quickly? OK, so maybe I got the version that is lacking...and I'm not allowed to say that the version I got was not so good? If it was updated recently, obviously there were some not so good things about it that needed attention. Well, I got all those not so good things in my bottle...

Yay, way to go OT. To the OP, dont mind the blah, try Zaino for yourself!

Yes, I recommend Z2/Z5/ZFX/Z8, and as was mentioned, the tire dressing. Don't forget the Z7 wash and Z6 for maintenance.

Well Mike it can only be suggested for you to contact Sal and let him try to fix the issue for you. If you don't want to do that then its your choice of course. But you are complaining that he did not offer you the best product when you ordered it, then when the possibility comes up that he might swap out the product for you......You still don't want it....

If you like I will send you the remaining portion (approx 5oz) of the ZCS that I ordered/received a few weeks ago. This will cost you nothing. No strings attached, if you accept my offer its your choice to post about your results or not. Just PM me your address if interested. :2thumbs:

maybe not. Major polymer manufacturers(such as DR CHEM WACKIE) constantly update their product offerings and as a result smart manufacturers tweak their products using the latest offerings. Some due to cost issues probably don't update their products as often.

That's a very generous offer. I'm just curious whether if you said the watermelon Jelly Belly beans were the best, and I bought them and didn't like them, if you would send me your Jelly Belly's to make sure I didn't get stale ones? Why does it matter so much to you whether TigerMike likes CS? I personally don't care what he uses on his car or whether he likes the same stuff I do. Sometimes this starts to feel like Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the Donald Sutherland version).

Start off with one of the kits. After you tried and realize you love the system, get some Clear Seal as a present to yourself and a dose of envy from your friends. You will now be stocked for years with all you need as a week-end warrior besides a PC, to make your vehicle(s) look great and tops in protection. :xyxthumbs

What is your vehicle?

Well this would be for customers cars, but right now i own a '74 914-4. But for the 914 i use zymol.
