Zaino vs. Wax

From what I have read on these boards, Zaino is a polish. Now what I'm curious about is whether Zaino has the same protective ability as wax or if you are supposed to wax after you use Zaino.

The term "polish" has become very misused of the last few years. Zaino is NOT an abrasive polish, it's a polymer sealant. Zaino has much better durability than a wax, Zaino will on average last 4-6 months depending on your weather conditions.

The term polish gets thrown around and used in a different sense by everyone....check out the definitions from an online dictionary (www.m-w.com)

So if I'm Wax Company "A", I could say "My polish is non-abrasive" because they maybe mean that it brings the paint to a "highly developed, finished, or refined state" by filling in minor swirls/scratches, etc.



And Wax Company "B" could say "Our polish works to make your paint smooth and glossy" and their polish could work by being chemically or physically abrasive (ie. by friction).



Such confusion!!
