Zaino vs Jeff's Werkstatt

I have had a good experience with Jeff's Werkstatt products. Prime and AJ are both great. AJ is hard to use and I've had streaking before. Applied with a damp applicator makes it much easier to wipe on. I'll probably pick up AJT once I run out of AJ.

When applying AJ, you need to lightly work it in so there are no high spots and apply and remove it a couple sections at a time. I get absolutely no streaks or problems removing it when used like that.

With Zaino, all you really need is ZAIO and either Z5 or Z2. Don't worry about layering all in one session and using ZFX, just apply another layer the next couple times you wash your car. Saves time on the first application and doesn't add that much to your next two washes. Z8 is a good product too, once you have as many layers of Z2/5 you want, maintain with Z8 after every couple of washes. Zaino doesn't have to be complicated and it doesn't have to be expensive.

Very good advice Scott, that's the way I will try it.

I use both products. The only thing I'll add is, IME, AJ noticeably darkens the paint's color, while Zaino retains the paint's natural hue.

AJ does not darken my white paint.

I love that! That's funny! I use both lines & love'em for various reasons. To my eyes, they each produce distintively different looks on my black paint, and are super easy to use. I find that both JW & Zaino are the longest lasting sealants I've used. I tend to use them in the winter months. Sometimes I top Zaino with AJ for added depth & gloss, and maintain that "sandwich" with Z8 or AW. Z8 really is an outstanding product, and adds to the look of both product lines. I've even used ZAIO & Z5 Pro as a base for nuba's, with outstanding results in the summer.
