Zaino User looking at poorboys

Hey guys I have been using zaino now for 4 yrs. Love the stuff however I have been looking at poorboys. I like to try new stuff. Just wondering what you recommend I see they have ton of products. Mainly I use the scratch and swirl remover from zaino

Oh yea I use it on an indigo blue silverado and a gold impala
 
I was never really a fan of Zaino but love PB lineup. I would get his SSR line up for swrils removal the SSR1 is more like a polish ligh cut for swrils, the SSR 2.5 is for cutting so if you have swrils to work on I would get both. The polish with carnuba is the best one step product that I have ever used. Then his sealant EX makes the car look like glass. I've not used the EX-P yet but lots here talk about how good it is, the EX works great then a topper of good carnuba like Nattys or anything else that you have. Another thing is that his products are user freindly and work well in the sun.

The natural look for the inside is killer and the trim restorer is a great buy. Did I mention spray and wipe... this could go on for a while
 
I've recently been trying many products to encorporate into a painting business and don't understand how anyone could not be impressed with Zaino. I also don't know how anyone could not be impressed with poorboys, UPP, Wolf and others but nobody said they didn't like these products. All of these modern products have revolutionized paint protection. My boss/partner has been painting cars for 30 years and back then they had tortoise wax. So he never even considered adding a sealant component to the business. I ordered a bunch of sealant for us to try and he was amazed. I don't understand how someone can say "I don't care for any of the modern sealants." Everyone of them is incredible and the finished product is equally amazing. There are some very minor differences between products but I would put any of these high quality sealants on any car and be "ecstatic."

I like nattys too but wouldn't apply that in the sun.

Z5 is a very good product, but it will only fill in very slight swirls and other minor blemishes.

I use Menzerna IP and FPII as a prep before applying Z5 and Z2Pro. When I ordered Z2 three months ago, I got the new "Pro" version in the old bottle. (Sal was slipstreaming them in the old bottle at the time.)

I have no experience with the old Z2, but people say the Pro version is much better. I can say that I like the affect that Z5 has to fill in minor blemishes that are left after an IP/FPII prep (a few paint nicks and deeper scratches). Adding Z2 Pro as topper adds to the "pop" and gloss.

Interestingly, I've heard that with the new Z2Pro, you don't need to prep with Z1 or add ZFX to the Z2Pro IF you already have prior coats of Z5 or Z2. One fellow said that he applied it with a PC and a red pad and the it flashed within about 20 minutes (no ZFX) and came off easily.

Currently my '02 Dolphin Gray, Audi A4 has two coats of Z5 and one coat of Z2Pro that have been on for about three months. Other than washing with Z7 and QD'ing with Z6, nothing has been done to the paint. Even after three months, water still beads in high, tight beads.

Last Monday night (just for grins), with NO ZFX added, I applied a quick second coat of Z2Pro to about 1/4 of the hood. The garage temp was 57 degrees (from temp gauge in garage) and the humidity was about 75% (damp). Normally these are not great conditions for Zaino. The next morning, I buffed it out quickly with a soft MF towel, followed by a quick spritz of Z6 QD. It buffed out very quickly and easily. This second coat of Z2Pro added to the shine and depth. It's a little hard to quantify, but the depth was the key improvement.

Overall, I am VERY pleased with the result. In January, I'm going to strip off the FMJ from my Wife's '05 red Subie Forester and apply Z2Pro + ZFX. I'll report back on the results.

I think you will be pleased if you switch over to the Poorboy's line. The Poorboy's line is very easy in removal, easily applied in the sun and the shade. Like the Zaino stuff the PB's stuff smells good, which is always nice to work with. The SSR line is very nice, so many diiferent levels of abrasiveness makes it easy to pick the right product for the job. The PwC is a very nice polish with no abrasives, which is nice if the car is already in good shapes and just needs a touch up. The natty's paste wax is very nice, easy on and off, and leaves a very nice wet look. Now you said you have an indigo blue P/U, and a gold impala? Here are some pics of my vehicles that are similiar in color to your's, hope they help! I used ClearKote Vanailla Moose, and EX-P on the blue Cobra. And on the S-10 I used ClearKote Vanilla moose, EX-P, EX, the S-10 is a 96 by the way!

The Z5 is a great product. I have gotten many scratches out with this products(some deep like when my dog was the in the bed of the truck and decided to throw his paw over the side when my truck was 2 days old :()

Heres a pic of what my truck looks like now :( It actually looks much worse than the picture shows. Its all salty :( it is supposed to be blue

Klasse AIO is one of my favorite products, but I really think most of its swirl removal capabilities would be from the abrasive action of the applicator rather than AIO itself. AIO seems to be a chemical cleaner and is pretty limited, (IMO), in removing swirls.

If you are happy with Zaino now, try using a dedicated swirl remover during your prep stages. It definitely makes a difference for me.
