Zaino & QEW . . .

Can Zaino be used with QEW?

I mainly use qew with a once a month visit to the coin wash.

Can Zaino be used effectively this way, since I can't use the zaino z7 car wash. Or can it be mixed with the QEW?

Anyone do the zino / qew combo?

I use QEW on my zaino'd car when its 100°f out or the water police are around.

If you are going to apply any zaino after a Z6 wipedown would be recommended.

Wait, are asking whether you can mix the Zaino car wash with QEW or whether the Zaino sealant can be used after QEW washes? No, I wouldn't mix Zaino car wash with QEW, the car wash is not designed for rinseless washes. And yes, Zaino can be applied after QEW washes.

I have a Navy Blue Mettalic Firebird Formula and want to cover up the swirls and heard zaino was great for this. So I can get the full effect of zaino with qew?

Also, I heard zaino builds layers. So I don't need to do a dawn wash and clay every 6 months I do the zaino right?

Zaino doesn't really cover up too many swirls.. Your best bet is to polish it once and maintain a good washing/drying regimen.

Multiple layers are usually done within a week or so, not every 6 months.

If you use ZAIO you don't need to dawn.

I have been over 9 months with 3x of Z5pro and CS. Some Z8 after 6 months and I finally put a coat of CS the other day. See the pic here.

depends on what products you have. If you have ZAIO I'd use that for the cleaning ability and start to relayer. If you have Z5pro use ZPC or your favorite polish to remove swirls and clean the paint and begin relayering.

1. If you have swirls, you need to polish them out. I haven't noticed any filling properties with Z5 so to get the best results you need to remove the swirls.

2. You don't need to Dawn wash at all. Use either Z-PC or ZAIO to polish out your paint prior to using Z5 or Z2.

3. Two coats for full coverage is ample for any product. Even if you put 100 coats of Zaino on your car, I highly doubt a paint thickness guage is going to show a measurable increase in thickness over bare paint. Better to do the best polishing job you can, put on a couple layers of Z5 or Z2 then maintain with Z8 after every couple of washes.

4. Both QEW and ONR (Optimum No Rinse) work fine with Zaino products.

5. Don't make Zaino unecessarily complicated, because it really isn't.

Wash

Clay

Polish with Z-PC or ZAIO

2 layers of Z2 or Z5

Maintain with Z8
