Zaino Pros.. Please Read ;)

I'm going to pick up my Zaino stuff tomorrow, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7 and ZFX.



Now, I didn't initially want Z7 simply because I have the pinnacle car wash shampoo, but the people selling the Zaino told me it'd be *best* to use the Z7.. I told them OK it wasn't too expensive anyway.. but I was wondering if any of you had a take on that (I really like the pinnacle) but they said the whole Zaino thing is how it bonds with it's other components?





Also, do you guys use a new applicator per product Z2/Z5/Z6 or do you just use the same ones until you change it out for a cleaner one? (I know with Klasse they suggest ONE for SG and ONE for AIO).



Any help, suggestions, throughts, rants/raves, pisses, moans, gripes, hiyas, ltns, WASAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..'s .. more than welcome :D
 
Use a different applicator for each product, like ZFX with Z-5 with one applicator, and then use a different applicator for Z-2.



Pros:

I like Zaino for its slick feel and ease of use.

No guessing its a whole paint care system.

The distributer is close so no shipping charges :)



Cons:

Spending too much money, $81 already with $81 being spent again this Wednesday/Saturday. Wow $162 spent for Zaino in a matter of a month or so. Don't worry this new Zaino is not for me with the exception of the Z-12.



I can't wait to try out Zaino on a car!
 
From my experiences; Zaino works better on older cars. For example, I tried it on my blue 1996 Jeep Cherokee. First I used Mother's claybar, and then I used the Zaino cleaner/polish lok and then the polish, as stated in the instructions and the car came out beautiful. However, I then tried it on my black Hyundai Elantra, which was a year old at the time, and it didn't do such a good job. It kind of smeared and the shine wasn't as strong as what I had on there before.



But who knows, maybe it was just the type of paint reacts better to certain waxes.

Now, I had recently read that ZFX is just an additive to the Z2/Z5's.. (a few drops per whatever).. I guess, what sort of liquid is the Z2/Z5.. does it come in a spray bottle or is it thicker (like klasse)....?



If you are adding ZFX to Z2/Z5 do they give/sell little mixing bottles or how's that work?
 
The Z-2 and Z-5 are like a thick lotion.



You would put some into the supplied bottles ((3) 2 oz white topped ones and one blue topped one with 2mL of ZFx inside, can treat 16 oz of Z) and add 4 drops for 1 oz of product (half the mixing bottle.) Shake it up, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then shake it up again. There are instructions right on the box, www.zainobros.com , and your distributer should offer you some knowledge.

Am I correct by saying that you would have to wash, clay and polish the car before applying Zaino Z1 and Z2?



As it seems that it is only a sealent program and not a polish.



Please correct me if I am wrong.
 
Yes, you need to do all your prep work first. Remember to do a Dawn wash as the final wash, that way you will have removed any oils and won't have any bonding problems.
 
From what the Zaino nuts here on the fourm state you are true.



It would be wise to use an abrasive polish to correct any defects in your clearcoat before sealing your car with Zaino. The entire Zaino product line is non-abrasive which means you'll just be sealing in paint defects.
 
Haven't used all my Zaino yet. I used some Z-6 and Z-14 on my vacuum cleaner and some plastic/acrylic panels.



Just hooking a guy up with a Zaino kit.
