Zaino or Poorboy

This is a hard call. What I liked about Zaino: durability, shine, What I disliked about Zaino, cure time, the hole rip off known as ZFX to cure it faster, and lack of depth of shine, and the Zealots who swear God himself put his holy hand in making it.

ZFX is an incredible invention that deserves all detailers admiration whether you like Zaino or not. I'm not aware of another company that allows for multiple coats of sealant w/o cure times between them. And I assure you multiple coats are cured on the surface. The more coats you put on you can see the difference in the way the sun reflects off the surface. Also, the new z2pro is as deep and wet as anything. If another company would make this I would praise them too, my wish is for instant cures to become the standard instead of the exception. Yeah it's expensive, but you can get about two bottles of z2pro and a zfx for about the price of Souveran, not bad. You can't go wrong with Zaino. The hardest part of deciding on Zaino is ignoring the haters. It gets easier after you try it, lol. I'm sure Poorboys is a good product too, if you want to save money give them a try. Pics of Poorboys appear very wet and deep, and Natt'y is a real good wax too. If you get Poorboys add Natty's to the order. Either way you will be happy with the results.

Michael,

The Z2-Pro will perform equally as well if applied without ZFX. For a single coat on already established Zaino'd finish, just use Z2-PRO. It still dries quickly, but of course you will need at least 24 hours for complete curing. If vehicle is not garaged and you expect any rain within that 24 hour curing time, use ZFX for that single coat.:xyxthumbs

Edwin, I'm actually testing Z2 Pro (with no Z1 or ZFX) on "virgin" paint on my 05 Pilot. I'm only two weeks into the test, but so far it is holding up very well and seems to be out performing other panels finished with AIO/UPP, FPII/UPP and straight AIO.

To date, the performance of Z2 pro alone seems to be equal to that of AIO/ Z2 Pro & ZFX and FPII/ Z2 Pro & ZFX. I guess time will tell if using Z2 Pro alone reduces durability significantly.

I'd be very interested in hearing from you or other beta testers on testing of Z2 Pro as a stand alone sealant. I suspect that waiting on Zaino to fail, however I use it, will take a LONG time! :lol
