I personally can not understand why ZFX is so expensive :angry . It's seems utterly ridicolous how much is lists for but in the end, being able to apply 3 x coats in one day forces me to buy it!
The research and development cost for this ZFX was extremely expensive. Inside industry sources have reported ~$200,000. That's quite a bit for a small company. Peanuts for the big boys.
Actual cost per serving of ZFX = $1.25. Rather cheap for the benefits received (faster drying/curing time)and value of one's time saved (3 coats in 1 detailing session / day) . :xyxthumbs
I've seen some Z'ed cars (especially Black) that look amazing - reds too -
AKAIK I think Z's got the longevity thing down - I know Scottwax has seen Poorboy's EX last for a good long while (I think 6 months maybe?) That might be a good alternative since it is a carnuba/poly sealant combo...
I never got the "plasticy" thing... and if you really want the carnuba look top your sealant with a good carnuba - you get both then !
