Zaino curing?

I once did a layer of Z2 or Z5 (can't remember) with ZFX. Finished buffing it off and within an hour, had a down pour. :faint: Didn't notice any lack in durability. It held for months as usual.

Isn't there some level of hardening going, even after you wipe off the haze? I've noted some increased slickness the next day. Not on the level of Z8, but it seemed to be there. Perhaps my imagination.

Additionally, why is it that you can only do 3 coats of Z2/Z5 + ZFX in a 24 hour period? Seems like those 3 coats need time to fully harden.

That's not to say you can't get the car wet, but apparently you cannot add another coat!

Yes, there is some final curing/hardening or bond stablization that occurs over the next few days. Probably from experiementation by Zaino, the available sites of initial bonding are not sufficient to support a 4th stable layer or lattice within 24 hrs period.

Thanks guys. I thought it might be a good choice if it about to rain or in the winter months.

Any carnauba I've used that's gotten wet shortly after application haven't seemed to be affected by it.

From my experience, the same goes for a few sealants like Klasse and UPP.

Still, none of them can be layered 3 times in 24 hours, a considerable advantage to the Zaino system.
