Zaino combined with Four Star/Optimum??

Hey Everyone! New member here but have been a car fanatic for many years. I do have a question for everyone. I have been using Zaino products for over two years now on all three of our cars. (two black and one white) My wife and I have recently had a baby so I have a bit less time to detail. I read online about using Zaino like normal but following washes use a very good quickwax/cleaner to extend the life of the Zaino between applications. Four Star or Optimum was recommended. Has anyone tried this? I emailed Sal Zaino about it and he told me to NEVER cross product lines and that i would have to remove the wax with Dawn everytime I tried to do a Zaino application. Thoughts anyone??? I usually do my Zaino applications every 6 to 8 weeks but if there is a way to extend that to every 3 mos. it would be great. Thanks!!!! Dane

Just use Z8!

Zaino should have no problem lasting 3 months after you have a couple layers on. Yes get some Z8.
 
Perfect! How should the Z8 be combined with the ZCS??? Have you guys tried both?? Thanks again, D
 
CS and Z8 are an awesome combo. The only caveat is that the car must be dry for CS to work without streaking. Z8 isn't affected by rogue water drops.

Of course Sal will tell you not to cross use products. Almost all companies will tell you that.

With the durability of zaino, you should have no issue going 3 months to apply a new coat. Like mentioned the Z-8 is great to do between apps.

Once you apply the zaino-cs wait an hour to apply the Z-8( this came from sal) when I taked to him on the phone one day.
 
Thats what I thought. Z6 after wash, ZCS following then let dry, finish up with Z8. Thanks alot guys. I have used almost every product under the sun and Zaino is by far the best.

Looks like the reason Sal gave not to use a wax between zaino applications was that zaino will not bond to that layer of wax.
