Zaino attracts mega dusts - Proof inside

:D Ok so it's a bad joke (blame on Ali) :D

Seriously though, my car is in the shop again doing some work. As some of you might remember my last bad experience with them color sanding my fender, I posted a BIG SIGN not washing my car. The owner of the shop walked me to my car and asked "Are you sure you don't want us to wash it? You want to just drive off like that? We can take it to somewhere else of a professional car wash if you don't trust us"

GRRRR... They got a point, I really don't want to drive home like that. The car should be done in a week or two, and I'm planning to just tell them hose down the car when I get there without drying the car, and I'll just drive back and sort of let it "air dry". What do you guys think? Thanks. Oh BTW, the pic was taken a week ago, so by now the dusts accumulation is indeed much much worse.

A suggestion,

a crazy one

but that's us , wright?

Can't you wash your car at the shop?In the mean time they might learn a few things.

Told you it was a crazy idea:D

Just kidding. My suggestion is to drive it home dusty. I personally do not trust anyone even spraying my car. Take pictures when you get home prior to washing and detailing.

That car is so nice that even when dirty it still looks .

:wavey

If you expect any product to repel body shop dust while parked inside a body shop you are one tough customer. There is no product made that will turn your car in to a "dust repellent" under normal situations, never mind a body shop. The best you can hope for is that the product you choose will allow less debris to settle on the paint. Since you have no control panel (treated with another product) on your car to compare it to, you really dont know if Zaino attracted less or more. I have used Klasse, various carnubas, Megs, and Zaino (currently on my Av) and I can say I have seen no difference in dust attraction in any of them. There are some very good tests done by the members you can find here on this site that provide very interesting results. Search, read, and make your descision.

I think he's being sarcastic about the dust and Zymol. I think he doesn't trust the body shop detailing his car, etc.

Wow.....You are worried about some dust and a few swirls? Maybe you should take a defensive driving course....it will prevent those swirls etc! I wonder if bubble wrap would be a possible solution, but might take away from the beauty of the Zaino shine.....

lol Ava. Yup, of course I was kidding. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be thinking about i t. Leaning toward california duster though. LOL.

Yes I'm very worried about dusts (that amount is "some"??) and few swirls on my black car. You sound surprised. I assume dusts and swirls means nothing to you? Now I'm surprised to hear this on Autopia.

Defensive driving course prevents swirls? Bubble wrap? You are very creative. lol. Let me throw my plush MF away and ditch two bucket wash method. heheh.

I was actually referring to the actual damage to the vehicle sustained in whatever, more so than the dust and swirls.....

Ohhhh! Gotcha. Let me clarify a bit. The car has no damage. That's not the reason why it was in the shop. Sorry for the confusion. The car is in the shop to do some custom work that's all. The reason why the front bumper was removed is because my shop will be flaring out the fenders a bit so my aftermarket wheels won't rub. That's why I was worried about the dusts and swirls. Hmm I'll probably end up driving home dusty. :D

William, maybe you can give them a few Microfiber gloves. Damn, look at those fingerprints they left when opening and closing the hood. Or tell them to close the hood by pushing down on the grill, not the paint! :)

LOL

I Cringed When I Saw All Those Fingerprints In The Dust!

:nono :nono

Puterbummer, you might see my RiceMobile pretty soon! :D

Tony - I would have taken your advice telling them to close the hood by touching the grille, but today I found out they didn't really follow my instruction and screwed up the job on my fender. :SIGH: I give up. Whatever happens, let it be.

lol wont work by pushing on the grille! The goof painted the grille black too! swirl city everywhere!:)

so what if it's dusty for the ride home? i wouldn't even let them spray water on it. just think of the fun you'll have cleaning all that dust off of her. it will be like the grand unveiling of all the work you had done!
