It's awesome that someone can randomly bring up a thread here (from 2+ years ago) to talk bad about someone that doesn't/can't post here...really strengthens and enlightens this community.

I think most of it's in fun. I never heard of the guy and only a couple made mention of him personally, but don't you find it kind of hilarious that he was marketing a "Zaino" approved MF? Sounds like an infomercial shown at 2:00am in the morning.

Sal Zaino also told people to use Dawn. And now he doesn't. Things change. :)

He still says to use dawn, or IPA. Z-sealants do not get along with oils and will consequently streak if the surface isn't "clean".

I agree....there was absolutely no reason to bring this thread to the surface, other than to stab back at someone that posts at another forum and cannot post here. Very high quality character.... :down :down Leave your quarrels and issues with them at that forum, it adds nothing here. Thanks

... Being that durability is my #1 priority, I do love durable products, which explains my adoration for Zaino for so long.
I've been noticing that in the past you've been a strong advocate for zaino - now Duragloss is in your signature! --> "Duragloss AquaWax on my garnet red G35 " ... Is Duragloss really that good?

Hahaha, that's great David. I can see big water trucks running around town advertising Z20, the only water approved by Zaino.

:cooleek:

Imagine how wet the car will be if you wash excusively with it!!! :chuckle:

Okay, when I spoke to Sal about it a couple of years back he told me he kept the 100% USA cotton recommendation because of the vast amount of varying quality microfiber. Since there was very little quality control, he simply could not recommend it. That isn't to say that MF wouldn't work, he actually thought it would be fine. Just to be careful with the quality of the ones used.

Now that MF is more common and readily available and consistent quality from Asia, you might see him recommend a brand. I doubt it until we see Mass market quality/consistent microfiber available at Target/Sears etc. Right now for me, MF towels are still a internet boutique type product if you want consistent quality.

Yep- for the price the AW kicks boutique butt. The 111 is an older product and the New 105 is supposed to have more durability and better gloss. If that's true it's a great quality product. The older 111 is quite durable but not as glossy as some of the newer sealants.

Just visited the Ultramicrofiber website for the first time....they say their towels are Zaino approved.

Uh... actually no it doesn't quite say that in reference to the polyester Korean towels, read that last line again.
