Zaino: amount to use?

JimS

Adopt a shelter pet!
I have a white Chevy Silverado which now, as of yesterday, has 5 coats of Zaino on it.

This is the first time I've ever used Zaino and everything I've read/heard tells me to use it VERY sparingly....extremely light coating.

Yesterday while applying the 5th coat I used approximately 3/4 of an ounce on the entire truck including a tonneau cover and the chrome wheels and the grill/bumper/air dam, and all the windows.

Do you think I'm using enough? It just does not seem right to use that little of the product! It's hard to believe that I'm doing anything, covering anything, protecting anything, with that miniscule amont of sealant. That's about 4 match-head sized drops for half the hood, or 6 of those drops for half of the tonneau cover.

Is that enough?????

Thanks, JimS

Hey Jim,

3/4 oz is the right amount. i use between 1/2 - 3/4 of an ounce on my F-150 Extended cab.

With Zaino less is more. Can we see a pic?

3/4 oz for your Silverado sounds about right. I use a little less that 1/2 oz on my Z3.

I use less than 10 mls (less than 1/3 oz) for a honda accord. I use 30ml syringes which really help me ration the stuff out so that i dont use too much.

The thinner the coat, the better the shine :). Your 3/4 oz for a large vehicle sounds about right.

How's the shine? That should tell you how your doing.

it's seems nothing left on the truck that is not zainod with 3/4 oz which is great, now once you get use to it you will even use less then that. and like everybody say little goes long way

Well.....the truck looks great (pictures to come later...I don't know how to post them but my wife may), and everybody says I'm doing it right so I guess I'll continue with what I'm doing. Maybe I just have the idea in my head that more is better....and I guess it is if more means layering.

Thanks everybody!!!

Regards, JimS
