It's been a while since I posted a C&B. This is a one of my personal favorites and one that I have wanted to do for a long time so I figured I would share it! Just one before and no sun or defect removal shots as the color just washed out in the sun and defects couldn't be picked up by the camera. So instead I just took a lot of gratuitous reflection shots! Enjoy.

Process:

Wash with Meg's GC and Chenille

Wheels with Meg's Wheel Brightner

Tires and Wells with APC

Meg's Mild clay and #34 for lube

#80 via PC and 8006 pad at 5

#7 via PC and 9006 pad at 4

#16 via foam applicator by hand

All chrome and clear plastic also got #16

Glass with NXT Glass

First off, here is a little teaser. I will be working on the Carrerra GT in the next couple weeks and take some pics of that one as well.

Any comments welcome. Thanks for looking!

Yeah, not bad. Mainly just from the detailer he uses for weekly washes. But with how rarely the car is driven it's more like bi-weekly or monthly washes.

Their where a couple areas that I hit with the rotary and #80 also. But again, any attempt at taking up close shots just washed out. I'm not very good with the camera so that doesn't help either. Just point and shoot.

Nice work on the Alpina.

I love the car. Kinda Retro and reminds me of an old Healy. The motor has a nice solid lifter taping sound to it as well. I think it's lacking in power but fun to drive.

Thanks for the comments all. I only started the car to pull it out and wash it and pull it back in. It did sound pretty good though. For whatever reason I really felt like going for the super wet look, hence the #7 followed by #16 over my usual #80 right to #21. Maybe the classic lines called for a classic combo? Either way it was a fun car and nice to do a little different final polish to LSP routine. And I can't remember the last time I applied an LSP by hand. I was a little out of practice and went a little thick.
