This thread is in response to a question from Bence
Have been a Zaino user for a little less than two years. Am a firm believer in its shine and durability.
Recently I was awarded a prize of a complete Mother's reflection line. So I have taken it upon my self to do a side by side comparison of the two products on my Black truck.
My thought will be random.
So far the one difference that I have observed is that Zaino is quite a bit more slick after application, after a wash, and after QD'ing with each products QD's.
Beading properties are similar to my eye but more decerning people have made mention that the beading of the Mother's products mite just actually be a little tighter. there is a difference in 7 to 10 days in the application of the two but here is a beading picture. Zaino has been on longer than Mother's line as of this picture.
It has also been pointed out that one side is slightly darker than the other.
More pictures with the bottles on their respective side.
My general handling of this test will be a normal obcessive care of the truck. The vehicle will be QD'd daily. Washing will be frequent also using Mother's shampoo, Zaino Shampoo, occational QED and re-application of the products jsut to help keep the shine as best that I am able to do.
What I can say is that Reflection's is matching Zaino in appearance. Although beading is good for both.... my view is that Reflection's Top Coat
has the slight edge in that department.
Zaino has a more user friendly spray sealant. It is applied easier and is slicker after application. Mother's takes a little time to get used to the way it needs to be applied but, foregoing the learning curve, is actually not hard. Yet it is time consuming because one must wait for it to haze before it is removed. So Mother's takes more work and it takes more time to do the same thing. For all practical purposes it would be just as easy to put another layer of Top Coat on instead of the spray wax. No matter which one is used a good result has ensued.
The last obsevation to make in this post is that I most likely would get good results from any product that I use on my truck because of the constant care that is taken to keep it brite and shiny. I must admit that aside from the comments already made I cannot tell the difference.
Hopefully I will take the plunge and get a camera soon to keep this thread updated. Will be traveling soon and will psot comments and pictures as I head to Alaska.
