Owner prepped vehicle before I arrived with a wash and Clay Magic. This truck is remarkable in that Ford did an excellent paint job. The only noticible OP in on the tail gate and the rest of the truck is just "cherry". Only two other negligible paint blemishes.
Procedure:
1Z PP with Metabo rotary and PC in tight curves by side steps with LC polishing pad;
Menzerna FP everywhere with PC and LC finishing pad;
Klasse AIO by hand;
Klasse SG by hand;
I was really surprised how well the silver turned out. It is a mirror!
Total time for the Lightning and the chopper was 7 hours.
The owner is really pleased with the results and will be adding several more layers of SG during the weeks before Houston Autorama the weekend after Thanksgiving.
He also asked me to remove the minor scratches from the front and rear fender and on the gass tank of his "chopper". That really reveraled the "little kid" in him as when the work was completed, he was walking around with a "Christmas morning smile"!
