YOUR favorite waffle weave drying towel...

it was my first time...
As the title says, I'm looking for a couple high quality waffle weaves to dry my car. My car is black and has the softest CC, so avoiding marring is something I'm constantly trying to do. I plan on getting a foam gun, but need some recommendations on a good waffle weave for drying my car that is the softest, and will marr my car the least. Price isn't really an issue, as avoiding micromarring on a Honda is priceless :stuart:
I have 2 Purple Passion sets from Autopia that they discountinued last year. While I'm happy with them, I'm looking for something a little better. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated and considered. Right now the Cobra Guzzlers look pretty good, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Poorboys blue towels....I have about 12 of them....I can dry my car in no time....I use two one to soak up the water and the next to completely dry the surface....I have the 24x36 at $11.95 each...you might have a look around and see if any are on sale
 
PB, Pakshak, Fiber-Works are all the same and they work nicely.

My new love is Scott's (SMP Motoring) foam-core WW MF.
 
I like the Pakshak large Blue WW but have recently tried the Meg's. The Meg's are nice as far as soaking up the water but they seem to be a little stiff although no marring happens. Also they are little on the small side and do not seem to wring out very well.
Someone recently posted up the green ones i think they are from SMC I think and they appear to be nice.

I am with Sean. The new waffel wave foam core towel is doing a great job so far. Scott's new ww with the new banding is also a good ww towel. I am using them more and more.
 
Hmmm... Looks like I'll give the new "core waffle weave" a try. I'm especially happy that Autogeek carries the Cobra Heavy Duty Waffle Weave Drying Towel, which is the same price, size and color as Scott's towel.... :whistling
I think I'll let the "Detailing Product Detectives" handle this one for anothe day and thread :detective

I prefer the Poorboys WW drying towel. They are very soft, perform well, and have held up very well over time.
 
i have quite a few ww's and mf drying towels (Viking, Cobra, Pakshak, etc..) and in conjunction with my little leaf blower, i barely have to use one.
 
:ohmy: I have a ouestion I use an absorber does anyone else use or just me ,I have never seen or had a problem with it (Inlighten me)
 
Most people use a Waffle Weave Microfiber drying towel instead because the Absorber doesn't have any nap and it drags dirt across the surface.

I used them for years with no problems. Like any drying medium, it needs to be used on a clean surface. If you drag dirt, you didn't get the surface clean before you started to dry.
I use MF now, but wouldn't hesitate to use an absorber if I didn't have the MF towel handy.

Cobra Guzzler...got some thrown in for free with my Christmas order from Autogeek. Awesome towels. I can dry my whole F-150 with the BIG Guzzler but then I go over it again with a MF with Spray N GLoss or something similar to clean up the drips
 
My two favorites thus far are Pakshak and Danase WW towels. The Cobra (Autogeek) seems to push water more in the begging then start to absorb. Winnercircles seem to get better the more you use them they are just not as soft as others.

Same here, works incredible and I love it although lately I've been using EO WAUD and don't want to clog any WW with it, so the Guzzler has been sitting idle for a while.
 
I bought a couple PB blue WW's from Steve a few months back. They are great, and keep going strong.

I bought the yellow WW from GCs. I washed it 1st and then used the WW while damp after using a water blade there was no marring/swirls and it absorbed every bit if water left behind and the towel was as damp as it was when i started and not nearly enough water to ring out.

btw the blue suede MF was fantastic on the windows as if they were polished, no lent,smearing or streaks by the time i finished it looked as if their was no glass in the door and looked just as good in the sun..

I also used it after i used the UPPS and a MF to polish up the surface the towel would just glide and polish at the same time i love it. Euro sells the towels and a lot cheaper then CGs and you get more in a bundle..

I was checking out that suede towel on their site and it looks interesting. It looks like it has a waffle weave to it and it's listed with the waffle weaves. Is it a waffle weave or is it like the little ones you can buy for sunglasses in a optical store? It would be great if it was a larger version of the optical MF.

Anthony it is totaly suede,like the one you would use for sunglasses.
I used the suede on the outside glass and there was some grabbing,i continued until it wouldnt grab or come to a stop. the inside glass was far easier to clean..I think the towel on Euro site is the same suede and much cheaper..
