Your favorite LSP?

I have been trying to DG105 on one panel of my car that's OC'd and another one with collinite 915... over the OC the 915 seems to look better, but the 105 cleans it very well, it doesn't seem to have the candied look like it does on a non OC'd car so i'd have to say 915 is best for that right now.
 
I've gone primarily sealant/coating over the past 4 years.

Reload used to be my goto, but now it's EXO.

For the rare times I reach for a tub of nuba, it's either Glasur or M16.
 
Call me old school but I still really like Wolfgang sealant. It goes on easy, comes off easy and beads like crazy for a long time. Plus it feels super slick to the touch which I still consider one of my tests for a LSP
 
Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax. The only LSP from Megs that I like, but it just keeps on surprising me on durability and looks.

Well... it certainly would be a surprise to me lol. I've never found many of megs' waxes to last very long. Everyone has different results maybe just from environment if nothing else.

I agree, I like most Megs products I have tried over the years, but not their finishing waxes so to speak (they never lasted). I have had much better luck with Klasse, DG, Collinite, and Mothers. With that said, I have been a huge fan of their Ultimate Waxes (both liquid and paste, but like the paste slightly more) ever since I tried them. Ease of use is top notch, they don't have much in the way of bonding issues over just about anything, and I get near Collinite levels of durability. These are daily drivers that are garaged kept at night, but out in the elements each day. The look is pretty good too. I have been running the DG 501/601, followed by DG 105/601 topped with Colly 845 quite a bit, I am getting near that level of durability with the Ultimate Paste wax.
 
Meg's Ultimate is a VERY nice product. I love that it isnt picky about what it goes over. I used it on my Candy White VW and used PB white diamond as a base. Wow! Meg's has stated it is not picky either.



Durability seems good for me too, even using CWG as my main wash. I find CWG to be a bit harsh on most LSPs, but ULW seems to hold its own. Great slickness, some filling, and solid durability thus far. Use some UQW to top it up and it will extend it out even more.



I LOVE meg's products but also never found an LSP they made and I liked...until now. Super easy to use too.

I'm seeing similar durability. Most would say, why not use Colinite or DG? UW's edge is much better sheeting action, more relaxed beading (less chance of water spots) and it just stays slick longer than anything else out there.

I've gotta say for durability that powerlock is pretty far up on my list of LSP's. It really lasted a long time on our honda which sits outside and is a DD. A little wind and you can watch all the water just roll right up the hood, looks like little waves. Pretty cool actually lol.
 
So if I'm reading into the comments correctly, is Meg's Ultimate wax basically achieving what NXT was trying to be ~ 9-10 years ago (when it first came out)?
 
Meg's NXT got the appearance part dead on. but the look didn't last as long as I'd like. UW has just the same look and it lasts a good long time in almost any environment I've been in. Hard to beat the price and performance for the DD, IMO. Another thing I notice is that this product keeps the slick feel for months. This is significant in that it makes the dirt easy to release from the paint. The UW is really a nice product and if I pair it with D156 (UQW) every week or two I can stretch its performance to beyond 6 months. UW is my new favorite LSP.

Which one do you prefer between the liquid and the paste versions? I've seen a lot of people whose opinions I respect mention UW lately - looks like I'll be getting another new LSP...

I personally like the liquid. I have not had any streaking issues and I like the ability to use this on my trim without staining. I actually prefer this on trim to the specialized trim products.

Thanks - I usually prefer paste versions, but given that this is really a sealant, and the added versatility of being able to use the liquid on trim without a specialized product (which I prefer as well), I think I'll go for the liquid in this case.

I have about 7 new ones sitting at my house I haven't even tried yet. I need more cars.
 
So the test ended today as I re-applied OCW over MUP. Ditched claying this time coz all tar and other minor spots got removed from MUP only. Being a white color, could't differentiate any difference in the reflection part but the silky smooth wax feel is back on the surface and Iam once again loving this feel.

Applied MUP after washing and drying. And then after some 3-4 hours, applied OCW. This 118ml bottle of OCW, which is the smallest available, proved to be more than enough to wax my Punto twice.

Opti-Seal, even though I really want to say Power Lock. I actually use Power Lock on my own car and for all friends/family. But, all my customers are on Opti-Seal.

Durability - Power Lock

Look - Poxy/Nitro Seal

Ease of Use - Opti-Seal -



Funny, the only thing anyone says to me when I'm applying Opti-Seal is "What are you doing?" No one gets it and say "well, it better last..." Geesh, no faith!
