your fav shampoo

FWIW I recently noticed that Meguiar's Gold Class car wash soap at Walmart ( in Rogers, AR) comes in a 48 oz container. The one in my garage is 64 oz, might just be stocking up...

I like Optimum as my favorite if anything because of the smell. The printed dilution is 1 oz per gallon but you can use even less gallon and still gets decent lubricity and suds.

When Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash was OTC thats what I would use.

Now I just use Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo.

On clients cars I always use something strong enough to strip some LSP, usually the new CG citrus wash (no glossing agents)

On my own car however I have been using lusso oro auto bathe for the last 5 months and its about the most gentle and lovely (yes, lovely) shampoo there is. Just works well in every way and does everything you want in moderation, not too slick or too sudsy... plus it smells nice which as we all know is the key factor is choosing all of your detail products and polishes.

Has anyone used both the D111 and CGCWC with a foam lance?

The CGCWC works great for me, but its about $32 gallon shipped.

Does the D111 leave any glossing agents behind?

I would imagine that D111 (and any thing in the detailer line) is going to leave something behind on the paint. In fact most car shampoos are going to leave something behind, because as consumers, we like soaps to make our cars look better (as well clean really well).

Also the 'gloss agents' are often the same products that make the soap feel so slick and help dry the water off of it.

and in your vast experience, which soap has the most of these gloss agents in it...
