It's rather unfortunate that he didn't get some help before he spent all that money and ended up with more products than he will use in a lifetime.

I sure hope he likes detailing, thats alot of stuff, and alot more that will be usless. I guees when you have money to boot
hes either loaded with $$ or better own a stealership ..

Even if he owns a stearship thats alot of wasted product. As well as alot of weird quinities. Like really theres basicly 1 of eveything, thats not going to be enough to dry a lot full of cars. My guees is he wants to say hes used it and now he can say he has

Im all about trying new products and finding the next best thing but really this is just nuts. I have a feeling he will only get to using half. he will like some and stick with them and not try the other product that is similar.
Buy hey its his money, i know there are a few products in there I would love to try
NMaybe my next order should look like that ;)

Your assessment is probably correct.
Most likely, the money was not really a concern.
So many of the products will be redundant that it is unlikely that he will ever use much of any of them.
He does have some good stuff, though.
Since he probably doesn't have any experience, I hope he doesn't get into trouble with the rotary and some of the aggressive products he has.
Considering the fact that money doesn't seem to be a problem, myabe he could hire someone to give him some hands on instruction.
It would be kind of neat to be able to hire Mike Phillips to give you private instruction for a few days.:)

Wow thats crazy. He's got 2-3 products that can do the same thing. I'm sure his sales rep had a hand at that.

I don't remember that much about the original thread, but I think he just ordered an entire list of Meg's products that he had seen somewhere. Since he didn't really know what he needed, he just ordered them all. (Sounds a little like my wife's logic.:))

What a weird order. As has already been pointed out he has a lot of redundent products on his list. For instance, he has 2-3 different QDs on his list. Why? Here's an even better question . . . why did he order 1 gallon of Gold Class wash and then also order 64 oz. of the same product? 1.5 gallons of car wash soap seems to be a weird amount to order.

In the words of the owner of those products.
I also read in the Meguiar's forum that many members advise for some products and the others advise to another products. I got confused which products should I buy for polishing, waxing and cleaning. I decided to buy most of the products and this is a list of the products I have
I don't think there was any wrongdoing by anyone. It was just a case of someone not really knowing what to do and doing what they thought would cover all the bases.
I've bought a lot of products that I either didn't use or only used a very few times, just never in that quantity.
I am almost embarrassed to admit that my list might be almost as many total products, but spread over quite a few years. :)

Well that makes sense if he ordered one of everything from Meguiars  :yay

The thing is that this guy doesn't even have everything that he needs. One WW towel, 5-6 other towels, one clay kit, etc. Also the PC and Makita for a newbie to detailing???? That's trouble if he's never used any type of buffer before. All of the versa angle brushes he could have gotten at Big Lots for $3-4 as well. I guess if you have the money it doesn't matter...

Looks like a lot for a first order but If I was to inventory all my detailing stuff it would make his list look small only difference is I didn't order all of mine at once. Every time I see something that I have not used I buy it. Some I only use once and then never use again so I need to throw a lot of stuff away my garage is overflowing with sealants and wax.

i recall that thread on MOL, thats sure is alot of products again i dont remember all the specifics or if he said its for his personal vehicle or business, again when we all started without know anybetter and if we had the money without any concern maybe we would have done the same without any guidance

Quite true. Even when we think we know better we still got caught up in the buy/try something new and different phase.
Actually, I think the guidance sometimes contributes to the problem. It seems the posts about great products never end. It's always a temptation to try them. And not just some of them, all of them.
Does anyone have any idea when you outgrow that phase?:)

I know im stuck in this phase. I dont think I will ever leave. :yay
This was a HUGE first order however I know I have ordered way more over the past year. Heck I have a tub of perfectly good products that I dont use that just go to my freinds. lol I dont think they need to ever ordr anything. I know that if I had unlimted amounts of money my order would probley be bigger.
