You might have OCD if....

You walk by other cars and are tempted to detail them for free because they look so bad.

You point out all the swirls on other cars to anyone riding with you.

i cant tell you how many times i see a dirty car and just want to start working on it. i was tempted to go to my neighbors house the other day(she wasnt there but her car was)and just start going to town on it but it would have been wierd when she showed up with me half way into it. LOL

you ain't kidding, when i go running i see all kinds of nice cars around the neighborhood that are in horrible shape...

You carefully and lovingly fold all of your microfiber towels as soon as the dryer is done, meanwhile all your clean clothes sit in a big pile on your bedroom floor.

:o

after reading through this....I need to see a doctor. Anyone know of a 12 step program? Does waxing the blades on the 9 ceiling fans in my house count as OCD behavior? LOL

Guilty as charged.

It never ceases to amaze my wife how I can take the time to wash, add vinegar to rinse water, and dry my microfibers, but the minute she asks me to do a load of laundry (the kind we wear)...."I hate doing laundry, thats your thing dear".

She lives with it though......she has one of the shiniest cars on the block :) (THE shiniest being the car or truck that *I* drive everyday..........she cant get ALL the stares).

ahah I really LOL'd on that one. I look over to see my clean clothes in a heap of on my bed, and my MF's folded nicely and put it storage bins ready to go to the garage.

My contribrutions....

1)You're waxing your car as it's starting to snow (my neighbor was looking at me as if I was on meth or something)

2)You're steam cleaning / extracting your vehicles interior in the middle of the night (3am I kid you not). The brother and I rented steamer for the day and had to return it @ noon the next day. We had a lot of vehicles to do, so it was almost 4am by the time we finished....That's dedication! When I eventually went to go to sleep I actually felt like I was steam cleaning in my sleep!

Forget OCD, how many of you have ADD/ADHD? Really though, diagnosed from a doctor, not suspected because you read about it. Ill bet most of you.

I do. that why I tend to change topics in the middle of a con...How about, you swear you see scratches and everyone else thinks you're seeing things.

I had to show this to my wife. She thought I was the only one. Brothers in shine, I salute you.:brit

something simple....

all your vents are at the same angle, your seat adjusters are at the same height (angle of the back, and how far forward so they are symmetrical & the seatbelt height adjustment), same with head rests

a little worse....

I can't stand when my metal door handles (on the inside) get smudges/fingerprints even if it is on the backseat latches I don't see

ditto on the MF towels, they are always pefect, even if I just use a few to QD I will do a load of three towels and fold them IMMEDIATELY

What about: When you line up your detailing products on the shelf they are all facing label out, and you clean the nozzles so they aren't all cr@ppy?

When your wife stars complaing about always having to take her car because yours requires spots where she has to walk 2 miles.

Now THAT is a serious problem!

You know you're OCD when...

The temperature in the car is always even.

When I shut off the car, the radio volume is turned to it's lowest setting then turned off.

I let the car warm up for 5 minutes every morning before leaving.

Check the tire pressure every 3-5 days....

You know your OCD when.....you waxed the air compressor like I did tonight (no joke). Maybe I should post up in the click and brag.
