You Know When You Run Out!

Just One More Coat
Over the weekend I did two cars....on Saturday I forgot that I had run out of Stoner IG....and I had nothing as a back up...The wife had this APC glass cleaner...tried that but it was smeary....I ended up using S&W and buffed them real good...they came out OK

I went and got some for the Sunday detail...

Thing is you know when you run out of something that is a staple and it affects the job IMO

I've run out of IG before and noticed it immediately. I had to use my standby glass cleaner (20/20) and found myself going to pick up some IG immediately afterwords.

TBH, I don't really ever have that happen. I usually have an "A" product that is my go to and then behind it on the shelf is usually a "B" product that's pretty good but not my favorite. Often times there is also a "C" and a "D" level product. :D

I plan on thinning out my collection of products soon though and then it's more likely to be a problem.

Just a question, but why don't you keep a backup on hand?
Behind your "A" product, you could have another container of "A" product. Give the "B", "C", "D" products to someone or just throw them away.
Whenever I reach the 1/4 mark of a product, I order more. Since I rarely buy smaller than quart containers and try to get gallons of anything I use a lot of, that 1/4 will last me quite some time.

Charles...I used up my B,C and D backups....for a while there I was using all the stuff that I had little bits of...then I forgot to get some more IG....was my own fault was at the store two or three times and just kept forgetting...if I had another car to drive I would have gone and got something

i had a similar situation today ..my new extractor stopped squirting solution and i had just started a nasty interior ... :wow:..i had a trigger go bad last year and had to get one shipped PRONTO so you think i would have a spare handy:confused:..yea we have to keep extra stuff on hand in this biz .. i got it working but it could have been a long day scrubbing by hand .. just like the time i loaned my pc to a neighbor and he brought it back with 2 destroyed edge 2000 pads . now i keep alot of EVERYTHING on hand ...especially this stuff .. its all i need to detail with:dnaughty:dnaughty:crazy:

It's a long standing joke by Ron on this site ;)
True, but the product does have those that like it.
As with many waxes, it probably doesn't live up to its hype, but as far as an OTC product, it probably beats Turtle Wax. (Don't know, don't use either one. :))

That stuff rocks :dnaughty:dnaughty:dnaughty:dnaughty:dnaughty:crazy
