Talk to your insurer, and find out how they determine what is 'exotic'. You may be surprised, and if you don't charge more for those types of vehicles, you are making less for them, than for run-of-the-mill vehicles, because of your liability. Just ask Joe of Superior Shine about his recent experience!
I'm not sure what happened to Joe, but it should all depend on your garage keepers limits of lialility. My collision/comp max was $100,000(dealerships required that amount). I guess if somone currently has a low limit and details high end expensive vehicles, it would be wise to increase your limits accordingly. If you don't and just raise your prices when you detail exotics, that increase still won't cover the bill if you have a loss. Does this make sence? I'd like to know more about Joe's experience if possible. I'm not sure what you mean by "making less" as you described.
