She has had a rough life over the past month. Sitting in a local tuners shop, she was covered in grime and then sat outside in the rain at the same shop. I last gave her a good detail here in april

Chris (owner) and I gave her a QEW wash. He had just clayed it a few weeks ago and was trying to keep her shiney with some Z8 along the way. She will get a full polishing in the fall when its nice and cool.

Prime by PC4 green pad

AJ by PC3 with blue pad, remove with AJT.

Chris polished up the pipes, gave the wheels a quick polishing too. He also applied some Z-16 to the tires.

Sorry no befores just some afters.

Wow, thats has got to be the wettest yellow I've ever seen! I love the looks of Werkstatt, but I just find them waaaayyyy to hard to use. Great work.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Applying the AJ with a PC and spritzing AJT for removal seemed to work good on this car. Then we did a 89 GMC the next day. Removed oxidation with PG/RMG mix. Then the same JW process as above. The hood got very cloudy in one area. Nothing would remove it, not prime, IPA wipedown, ect. The hood just got worse with everything we tried. Ended up doing a IPA wipedown of the whole hood then repolish with IP/RMG. Applied Z1 and Z2pro without any problems to the hood.

Thanks, I'll give AJ with the PC a shot.

As long as you have AJ trigger to spritz onto the AJ for removal then you should be fine. If you don't have AJT I would not suggest this process.

Not even remotely hard to do if you do the following:

1. Use less than you think you need with both.

2. When using Prime, continue to work it for 2-3 passes and it will pretty much disappear into the paint and removal is effortless.

3. With AJ, once the pad is primed, only 2-3 drops will cover a panel. Spread with a foam hand pad and then go back over again without adding more product and knock down any high spots, then buff off the excess.

Beautiful work on that 'Vette, the paint looks so deep and wet! :2thumbs:

Thanks Scott.

What is that red "hoobiedoobie" sticking out from the right rear bumper fascia?

When you go to the roadcourse and if something happens, that would be a tow hook. Usually one up front too, but we have not installed it yet.

This is one of the wettest yellow car I have seen so far, the shine is great too :bigups

Applying AJ with the PC and removal using AJT, this is something new to me :p I will give it a try tomorrow on a customer's car.

Thanks Gen2.

It worked out great on this car, but when I tired it on a '89 truck, the results were not so good. So maybe try it on a section of the car and see what you think.

She looks great Bryan and Chris.

Gotta love teamwork.

That is one of my favorite cars.

One day when I grow up...

Thanks Jim!

Thanks for the advise :2thumbs: will try out on a small section first and see how's the result.

Sweet car and detail! I see that thing all the time around here, I never get tired of it. Sometimes I'll follow it just to hear and see it. :lol

So whats under the hood?

383ci with 475/475 at the rear wheels. Plans are for that to come out next year and something just a little bigger to go in. :2thumbs:

Its just a little loud. I was behind him the other day at a light and the rearview mirror in my car was shaking. :chuckle:

One of my favorite all time C5's and impeccably detailed to boot! :2thumbs:

You need to take a pic of Chris's yellow shoes to complete this thread. ;)
