EC/OP mix yellow LC pad 1500

Z6 wipedown

No polishing of the wheels as that will get done when I have time to remove them.

None of my closeup shots of the defects and lack of after came out. Yellow is fun to try and capture. I would say that I got the finish about 85% defect free.

I wish I could of got some outside pics.

Looks great--that paint is a real PITA to correct, huh? :D

Those CCW wheels will *not* be fun to polish when you get around to it. :soscared:

Thanks guys!!! Am I normal if I start to think that spending this amount of time on a car is normal? :chuckle:

I have done them once in the past, thats why I prefer to remove them from the car. Still takes a few hours. :scared:

Powerball is the way to go. Especially on the inside barrels.

I think I would charge more next time though. :D

The owner of these wheels actually got them out in the snow--that liquid ice melting solution etched them pretty bad. :aww:

:shocked

What did you end up using machine and polish wise?

I still find the blue magic polish has more cut then the busch polish and NXT. It seems that the NXT finishes up the best out of the three that I have used.

IIRC, I used Mothers Mag and aluminum polish, with a powerball/dewalt drill. I then polished with NXT metal polysh by hand, then washed and dried. The Mothers had much more "cut" than anything that I had on had--never tried the blue magic. It was a *messy* job. :D

I am about out of blue magic, so I will try the mothers next.

thanks!

The blue magic does work pretty darn well on the oxidation..reeks of ammonia though. supposedly not very good in the long run.. Noxon 7 is also a nice strong liquid cleaner... I only use those on the bad stuff and finish it off with something milder just to clean off all those chemicals and leave something with some protection

NXT is my favorite paste and OTC product

Wizards is my favorite wadding

Mr. Buffer my favorite liquid

The Beast looks awesome.

I love that car.

I have some Blue Magic if you need some.

The BP station near the interstate (with the truck stop) has some.

I can pick you up some if you want.

Do they carry this in Autozone and such??? - I forget.

Thanks sspeer! Will have a look into a few of those.

Thanks Scott!

Thanks Jim!

Can get the blue magic just about any parts store. Thanks for the offer.

Great work Bryan!! :bow

I can personally attest how hard it is to get the CC flawless producing a finish that is naturally deep and dripping wet.

That yellow Z06 must be outrageous in the sunlight with the Zaino on-board. :woot:

:thx

She is down for some clutch work, so it should peak back out in a few weeks.

Very impressive work on the Z06 :xyxthumbs , it is not easy to make a yellow car to look this wet.

Thanks G2!

Here are some pics when I polished the wheels on this car from Jan.

I think I used busch polish and a powerball.

I think I will go with blue magic to cut, then NXT to finish out.
