Yellow LC pads?

Do any of you use the yellow LC pads on your PC or G110 for more cut than the orange pads? If so what do you think of them compared to orange? Big defect removal improvement?

for me I would just jump to a PFW if an orange pad was not enough

for some reason I just did not like the yellow pad but

I think some people like the yellow for oxidation

That's most people told me.

Skip Yellow and go with PFW (purple foamed wool).

I've had yellow LC pads on a PC leave such nasty compounding marks that I couldn't get them out with a PC at all. It took a rotary and some pretty aggressive stuff to get them out.



The small PFW's do work better than yellow LC foam for correcting, however if you need to do correction that is deep enough to warrant using a yellow LC pad, you may want to consider using M105 and a white or orange LC pad instead.

By small PFW do you mean the 4 inchers or 6.5"?

i think they come in 3.5" I dont think theyre techinically 4"

I bought a half dozen of those yellow LC pads and I have not used one in many many years... Last few times I tried them they left so much marring I couldn't remove it except with a rotary!!



Tons of little semi-circle marring... Horrible.



I do however want to try them with the rotary, might be a bit better...

Hmm..I guess they're not *LC* pads, but the yellow 4"Cyclo pads worked well with M105 on hard clear ('97 BMW). No marring to speak of, nice clear finish, and great cut.



But I wouldn't bother trying larger ones except with a Flex or a rotary.



And yeah, the small PFW pads work great via PC when doing serious correction and would generally be my choice when you need some serious cut. Other than that experiment on my M3 with PC/M105/4" yellow, I can't remember the last time I used the regular yellow cutting pads via PC. I'm generally more in favor of mild pads and aggressive products, and M105 seems to work pretty well that way (as does 1z Pasta Intensiv).
