yellow foam pad not to be used on new finish!!!

I see no reason to use a yellow on a new car unless it has serious paint defects. A polishing pad or orange pad should be sufficient.

Please make sure to include the manufacturer of the pad when you include a color because not all pad colors dictate cut.

Meguiars Yellow = polishing

Lake Country Yellow = cutting

With that said, if the finish needs it then go for it, but if the finish is perfect, stick to a polishing or finishing pad. :)

Good point, I often forget about that Megs 8006 Yellow.....

Probably wouldnt need an LC yellow on new paint, or you could be like someone in my area that uses wool on EVERY car that they do, brand new or not -__-

Also depends on what you want to do. If you have bad orange peel, cutting it down a bit is not a bad thing!
