Yellow 2003 Z06 pic intensive

This was a coworker's father in laws car for a father's day gift. He said the car was like new, but it was swirl city. Evidently he was stationed in Germany and drove it in the winter a couple times and used a scrub brush to clean it. Process follows:



Under hood

APC 4:1

AA Intense Foam

All airbrushed items received a coat of Meg's #21



Wheels/Wheel Wells

EO All Wheel Cleaner

APC 4:1 for wells

AA Intense foam for wells

Stoners for tires

Wheels received a coat of AIO



Interior

Folex on all carpet and extraced with LGCM

All surfaces wiped down with APC 10:1

Poorboys Natural on Surfaces

Stoners IG on glass

Poorboys leather conditioner



Exterior

Wash with Meg's GC

Clay

OC/SSR3 with Meg's twisted wool pad

OC/OP Excel blue polish pad

SSR1 via PC

OT, but the AutoZone battery in a Corvette seems a little odd to me. Oh, and he needs to get some 20" wheels on that baby. JMO
 
Well, you're talking about a 58 year old man, so I doubt that 20s will be bought and I'm sure the Autozone battery was a matter of convenience. Thanks.

tdekany: Coming from you, that is great praise. All told, it took me about 8 hours and I remember now why I hate doing Corvettes. I need to follow up with a wetsand of the front of the car as the scrub brush marring was deeper than I could really get perfect with the rotary. Drove me nuts.

looks like a tremendously thorough detail. the results speak for themselves, that paint is wet and on fire at the same time!
