Finally I can get some work done on my car :D. Do you guys think it would be rude to ask if I can see the car after it is all prepped and ready to be painted to make sure I'm satisfied with the panels? I don't want to make the shop mad, but I want to let them know how much the quality of the paintjob means to me.

Its your $$ they shouldnt have a problem with it, if they did the prep right they have no reason to not show you.

If they do have a problem with it take it to another shop. You are paying for thier services. If they were any good they would be more than happy to show you.

Just keep in mind that you should be available for the viewing when THEY are ready and will you know what to look for?

all the body shops I've ever taken mine too haven't had a problem. Just remember that some places might let you see the car but not go into the bay due to insurance regulations.

Yeah I'm sure they'll have no problem letting me look at it. And yeah I definately have to make sure that I"m home, my mom uses the other vehicle for work so I may not be able to go over and inspect it.

not only did I look at my car in different stages of the work done to it, I took pictures too. The guy was grinning like crazy. (I was a little whacky!)

Its all about tact. If your are there to question their work they may not want you on their back, on the other hand if you are there to learn the process they may enjoy your company.
