Yahoo Tool Bar for IE

I was looking around the web and noticed that Yahoo has added tabs to their tool bar for IE. Anybody using this toolbar and if so how do you like it?

I know you can down load IE7 if you want tabs in IE but it's in beta and buggy from what I hear. The MSN Search Bar also has tabs but that thing is massive. Something like 25 -30 MB just for a tool bar and it apparently really slows your system down.

I use to have it before I got high speed internet together with Yahoo. I liked it because I search through Yahoo and not Google. It's also got a pop-up blocker that worked pretty well and a spyware/adware search.

How did the tabs work?

Not to knock Microsoft... But.... Microsoft came out with IExplorer how many years ago? And they have just decided to add some new functions to it!

Firefox has been available for about 2-3 years now and is constantly updated and made better....

oh not to mention as a firefox user the is virtually no such thing as a pop-up

I use a love FireFox. I am also going to try out Opera 9. The thing is I keep IE simply because some pages and sites only work with it. Since I am going to keep it and don't want to use IE7 until it's a stable release I thought the Yahoo Tool Bar would be a easy way to add tabbed browsing to IE. I am assuming the tabbed browsing in Yahoo Tool Bar is too new and not many people have used it? Yahoo Tool Bar has been around a while but the tabbed browsing is a new feature added to it.

It's been a while since I had the old toolbar and I was thinking you were looking to get that one. I'm pretty sure I have what you're looking to get. Where you can open tons of tabs under one IE broser? If this is what your talking about, it works pretty well. It really helps keep memory usage down. I always have lots of pages open so I can hop from one page to another quickly. I think you can have 15 tabs visible on the top of the page before you have to use a arrow to get to the other ones. It's also nice to right click on something I want to open in a new page and I can click "open link in new background tab". This allows me to keep doing/reading on the original page without having to click back to it. I use it a lot when I do a Yahoo search. I can literally open 10 pages in the search results in 10 seconds and they‘re all right at the top ready to be looked at. I also am able to keep what I'm looking at seperate. Like I have business stuff under one browser, car stuff under another, and school stuff in another one.

The only problem I have had with this is when I'm opening a bunch of threads in forums. Once in a while it will go crazy and open like 15 random pages from that forum. It was much worse when they first switched to this style, but I haven't had any problem with it lately.
